Quest for Glory 1-5

A niche adventure classic from 80s and 90s. It has always been reading an epic novel/fable/fairy tale to play QFG games. Throughout the years, I play the series again and again just to remind me of myself how good the series make me feel. This is a form of art in my opinion. I also suggest Hero-U Rogue to Redemption who were made by the creators of QFG series and the game also sets in the same universe.

This is one of the most amazing game series ever made. The different characters provide very different gameplay and story, the decisions you make can reverberate across games, and the atmosphere is phenomenal. The infiltration of RPG elements into an adventure game is done beautifully, and plays like a dream. And I still hum the theme song to myself even to this day. Games like this are few and far between, and playing them should be a must for everyone.

I played the first Quest for Glory when I was a little kid playing on my mom's pc. Since then, I have replayed the entire series multiple times because there is no other game series that has as much heart as this one. The story really puts you in the shoes of a would-be hero as he grows and meets all sorts of strange and interesting characters. By the end, you just have the urge to start all over and make different choices and meet all sorts of other new characters. The possibilities are endless and so is the fun!

Finally! Quest for Glory is a great series of video games, and all five for 9.99$ is a steal. The stories are interesting and funny, with a dash of drama thrown in. Also there alot of variety here, from a Swiss inspired valley to Africa theme, to Transylvania theme and even a ancient Greek theme, there is much to exploere here, and pioneered here is a trend from recent Bioware games like Dragon Age and Mass Effect; The character you start in QFG 1 caries on all the way to QFG 5. Yes! You can import your custom hero, this is especially good if you unlock the *Secret* Class. These games are timeless and worth a look.

My favorite game of all times is finally released in gog.com Purchased again because these games deserve it. Plays like old Sierra adventure games, but with character selection, skills, different ways to solve the same puzzles, enemy combat and the possibility to always export your character to play the next game. First two games require to type commands, while the rest of the series and the remake are point and click.
