Quest for Glory 1-5

The Quest for Glory Series is perfect for young people, those who played it when they were younger and want to recapture it, or anyone looking for a compelling, Sierra-style adventure game that is full of Monty-Python-esque humor, engaging plot twists and imaginative mysteries. The reason I recommend this for young people is that it is the perfect balance between hard and doable, and while anyone can start playing it and understand how it works in a matter of minutes, Quest for Glory requires a good deal of imaginative thinking in order to progress through its various puzzles. The thief mode of gameplay is an absolute blast throughout. I absolutely recommend this series of games for new and old generations. No one will be disappointed.

This is the game series I'll remember while on my death bed. Until finding Gog I wasn't able to play them, but I visited the box every now and again anyway ;) Get this series, you will not regret it.

I pretty much grew up with these games. They were more or less single-handedly responsible for me getting into computer games. I have many, many fond memories of playing these games as a kid, and the chance to replay them (thank you DOSBox!) is impossible to pass up.

When I see this game, think about this game or play it (even though it was so long ago) I get chills on my body. The magic of the gameplay, the storyline and the world are something that have had a permanent affect on me. It's probably the only game that I could feel this deeply about, I can't even explain it. I wanted a sword and shield for christmas as a child, I played Heroes Quest for 400 game-days as probably a 7 yr old without even knowing how to fight yet! To me it has a deep meaning much bigger then anything else I've ever played, I LOVE this game, I LOVE reading other peoples experiences with it, it couldn't be further from what anybody would expect meeting me either haha. But yes it's great

I still have my old copies of QFG 1-4. They haven't properly worked on any operating system since XP, and 4 hasn't worked properly since Windows 98. ALL PROBLEMS I have ever had with these games have been FIXED in this updated version I recently downloaded from GOG.com. I am SO psyched about this. Thanks, guys!
