Unoptimized PC port

Sadly, there are some long standing issues with the PC port that are never fixed. In addition to this, this game does not quite the same polish in terms of gameplay that Sands of Time had. I absolutely would not recommend this game. Save you money and buy the later games in the series instead. They are at least functional.

In many ways the best PoP, but not in all

This Prince of Persia has the best bosses in all of them, the combat is almost as great as in Warrior Within, the platform sections were also great, like in all the games of the SoT trilogy, but it's better in Forgotten Sands(yeah, forgotten sands has one strong point, despite of all his weaks points). Also, the story in The Two Thrones is the best in the trilogy, many pop-fans says that is the worst, but it was because Ubisoft made a soo good trailer that raises the expectations of everyone and when the game was realeased, it dissapointed the fans, and after that, the fans started to claim that Ubisoft changed the entire perfect game for a garbage game in the last months of developing. But if you check the story of the SoT, you can notice that is too simple, it's good, but too simple; the story of warrior within is more complex, but it's forced and stupid (the Dahaka was suddenly introduced in the plot without any previous reason, also, in SoT the prince prevented himself to realease the SoT when he prevented the war, so it doesn't have sense to prevent the creation of the SoT to prevent himseft for realese them because he never realeased them; if the Dahaka chases the prince, it's because he doesn't belong to the timeline, but preventing the creation of the SoT couldn't fix this; also if we ignore the previous facts (alert, SPOILER of Warrior Within), if he prevented himself of being chased by the Dahaka, he would never arrive to the Isle of Time, so, he couldn't fix it, it's a paradox). But the story of Tho Thrones is a lot better, there is a good reason to introduce the enemy and his intentions using the plot of the two previous games(unlike the Dahaka), also the fight of the prince with his dark side is very interesting; I will not say more to not spoil. The flaws of two thrones are the next ones: the sealth killing moves using quick time events(simply, these doesn't work, killing moves works better without quick time events), the parts when you play using the dark prince (it's terrible to be running because the life is decreasing), you cannot back to previous visited areas, it's more linear than warrior within but newer (why remove so good feature?, it was nice in warrior within to go back to pick some items or health upgrades if you forgot them). And it doesn't have enough checkpoints. The flaws exists but it still deserves 5 stars.

Ridiculously predictable

If you enjoyed Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, do yourself a favor and don't play any other game in the series. Keep the magic alive and keep the Prince away! Jokes aside, if you're looking for a satisfying platformer, I highly recommend all Tomb Raider entries from Crystal Dynamics. They are much, much better. As for the Prince and his Two Thrones, it deserves no more than two thumbs up and here's why : gameplay is bland and predictable, story and characters are just ridiculous, and every single thing is scripted. The whole game feels like a long, linear and cheesy student project, except for the graphics which are actually impressive. Oh, and enemies continue to attack you during unavoidable cutscenes. Yeah, they do. Bland and predictable gameplay is actually a benchmark of Ubisoft games. I could line up dozens of examples, but let's just say this: by looking at the environment ahead of you, you'll know exactly when the Prince turns into the Dark Prince, and vice versa. As for story and character development, every single cliché you could imagine is packed here. I actually laughed through the whole game. My favorite would be when the Prince asks his dark counterpart "But... who are you?" and the Dark Prince answers: "Don't you know? I'm your untapped potential." Really, I feel like I'm reading some uneducated teenager's poetry. At least they had the decency to avoid close-ups on women's butts, as we've seen in the previous PoP title. Last but not least, every single thing in the game is scripted. Everything. This means that at some points you'll die when falling from some height, and five minutes later you'll drop from higher and survive, as it was scripted that way. It also means that perfectly possible jumps are sometimes deadly, while in most parts of the game the Prince will jump significantly higher or farther to reach the scripted place you need to reach. Your character will actually "slide" on-screen to lock on a faraway platform. It's THAT bad.
