Description
What happened to the humans? Set in a post-apocalyptic world strewn with cast-off pieces of machinery, Primordia tells the story of Horatio Nullbuilt, who finds his peaceful existence threatened when a rogue robot steals his power core—the sole source of energy fueling his ship and keeping him alive. To recover it, the robot and his companion, Crispin, must leave behind their idyllic home for Metropol, the city of glass and light. Their quest to reclaim what has been taken away will lead Horatio to unexpected discoveries about his origins—and a new understanding of the humans who walked the earth before him.

  • Puzzles that emphasize logical thinking and exploration rather than trial and error or pointless backtracking.
  • A streamlined interface, player-friendly design combined with the challenge and depth of the classics.
  • Features over fifty hand-drawn rooms to explore, dozens of distinctive characters to meet, and gorgeous painted cutscenes to soak in.

The ending I obtained ruined it for me

The game has a great starting theme. Since I have a passion for religions and mythologies, I was immediately drawn into the game lore with its "Gospel of Man" that depicts humans are gods creators of machines before leaving the world. I loved how this theme brought interesting dialogues and debates, for example over the existence of Man, just like we in the real world discuss the existence of God. The puzzles were nothing special, which means they were not very good but not bad either. I was more interested in the lore anyway. And the excellent voice acting was most welcome. However everything was ruined because of... the ending I got. After some research I realized I obtained the shittiest ending. Some might say it is my fault, but really the requirements to obtain better endings can be tricky or overly inconspicuous. I was so disappointed, almost disgusted by the way the game ended that it cut any desire to try and obtain a better ending. In the end I watched everything on YouTube. And even then I found the better endings to be not that fulfilling. I don't regret paying and playing game. The premise was really engaging and it was a nice albeit classical point 'n click entertainment with great voice acting and a few thought-provoking dialogues. I just wish the lore was exploited better, that is to say, I wish the thought-porovking dialogues were more than a few . As for the ending I obtained, it ruined everything for me but, well that's a matter of personal taste. At the end of the day, if this game looks interesting to you, I'd say give it a try, but don't be too sorry if for some reason you can't play it.

On my top 5 adventure games list

I love adventure games but only the ones with a great story. Primordia (as all games from Wadjet Eye Games) serves you unforgettable experience. The story, the graphics and of course superb voiceover with Abe Goldfarb as Crisp (Blackwell's Joey Mallone!!!) and Bastion narrator Logan Cunningham. Sipmly a must have.

Awesome, logical adventure game

There were only two things that I did not like about this game: * You cannot quit the credits (not even the second and following times). * The main character's resolution is higher than the surrounding's when we moves further away. Besides that, this is a very engaging adventure game. Things I liked a lot: * Dystopian future; sarcastic and cynical comments in often brilliant dialogue. * Rich backstory that slowly and naturally unfolds. * Logical puzzles. Every puzzle can be solved by thinking, using knowledge about the world and a few clever trial-and-errors. No pixel-hunting or random object applications. * Freedom of choice at the end. * Nice drawn backgrounds and atmospheric soundtrack. * Quick travel system and recording of the most critical information for later access are very convenient. I would definitely recommend buying this game if you are at all interested into adventures and post-apocalypse.

Brilliant and amazing

The writing on this game is outstanding, as is the voice acting. The world is very interesting, filled with a lot of different and intriguing characters from the protagonist to his sidekick to the villains. I really like the artstyle, I LOVE the streamlined interface, and I found the puzzles to be not too hard, not too cheesy, but juuuust right for me. If I had any complaints, I wanted this game to be 5x as long! I am crossing my fingers, wishing on shooting stars and casting voodoo spells that there will be a sequel! Excellent work!!
