Description
What happened to the humans? Set in a post-apocalyptic world strewn with cast-off pieces of machinery, Primordia tells the story of Horatio Nullbuilt, who finds his peaceful existence threatened when a rogue robot steals his power core—the sole source of energy fueling his ship and keeping him alive. To recover it, the robot and his companion, Crispin, must leave behind their idyllic home for Metropol, the city of glass and light. Their quest to reclaim what has been taken away will lead Horatio to unexpected discoveries about his origins—and a new understanding of the humans who walked the earth before him.

  • Puzzles that emphasize logical thinking and exploration rather than trial and error or pointless backtracking.
  • A streamlined interface, player-friendly design combined with the challenge and depth of the classics.
  • Features over fifty hand-drawn rooms to explore, dozens of distinctive characters to meet, and gorgeous painted cutscenes to soak in.

One of the best

I played this game on linux. The experience was top notch - it has a great story and characters were very interesting. There were no issues on linux. I did need some walkthrough/guide for the best ending, but that was it and overall I still enjoyed the game immensely. I feel this is the best title from wadget eye games (between shivah, blackwell series, gemini rue and golden wake - all of them being point and click games).

Great Adventure

I had a great time playing this game. I wasn't sure that a world composed only of robots was going to be for me but it built on me. Interesting likeable characters, great philosophical debates, great old style graphics, fantastic voice acting, great atmosphere and witty sense of humor during the drama. Recommended.

Thought I didnt like these kind of games

I'm one of those people who skip dialogues most of the time in games and don't pay much attention to the story. For me games are mostly about gameplay. This game has almost no gameplay, most of it is story via dialogues + voice acting. Well, it does have some problem solving and thinking, but I used the walkthrough a lot. And yet, I loved it. Truly loved it. This game will stay in a nice corner of my memory until the end of my days. Thank you to the creators for making this lovely game, I can't find any flaws in it. Good job.

When one can feel the love they put into

The art, the music, the characters, the overall mood, the lore, the moral questions... This game is one of my favs in terms of point and click games. Even after playing it like 6 times. :-D

A gem in the genre

The second best point and click genre game I ever played (If you really want to know, J.U.L.I.A. is my all time favorite). The story on its own could have been a very successful sci-fi short. The graphics are very good with a details level good enough to make discovery of objects relatively easy. The dialogues are also quite good and the humor is neither vulgar nor infantile. The interface works well. So why not five stars? Well it's just that some of the puzzles are nearly impossible to solve without a walkthrough (Not an issue since it's readily available on the web) and this takes away some of the interest in the game and, certainly, the player's sense of achievement. I will not give examples here not to spoil the game. The fact that there is absolutely no replay value once you solved it could also have an impact safe for the fact that it's pretty well a "de facto" for this genre. Overall though very well worth having specially if, like me, you can get it at a discount from GOG.
