Unfortunately not as good as the Amiga.
I'm glad that GOG is offering this great game not to be forgotten. However, this is the MSDOS PC version which i find not as good by a large margin as the Amiga version. Amiga version is prettier to the eyes, has a lot of sounds which are essential to the game, and feels more balanced. For this game, on computers, i would rank Amiga>AtariST>MSDOS>Mac, not taking into account the consoles versions.

One of the best there is.
Populous one set groundwork for God-Games while the second part was ground breaking in terms of options. Large array of spells (Close to 25) and effects as well as an RPG aspect of building your own god was amazing. It was an upgrade to the first game in every regard. It features over 999 levels and a good selection of summonable Greek-Roman Gods. The game also came with a Data Disk - The Challenges which was more Asian themed, but it's up to GoG to up it up there. All GoG needs to do is release Powermonger - the cheery on top of God-Gaming ice cream.
