What i expected.

This is what i expected, and that is always a good thing. Personally i prefer SWAT 1, but that's probably just nostalgia from my youth. I have wanted to play this game again for 10 years. Finally i found it, and SWAT 2 as well. All in all a good buy that i can recommend to any strategy gamer who remembers and liked the 90's.

Fun if you know what your doing.

SWAT 1. This game is highly reliant on following directions, paying attention, & knowing police procedures. I was twelve when this game came out & had to have it because I wanted to be a police officer & had studied everything I could, but still it was weeks before I could finish a mission because I was very impatient . You have to hold cross-hairs over doors, give the correct hand signs/radio commands, use the proper tactical movements, know when & when not to flashbang etc. If you take the time to get use to it then can be very fun & informative. Swat 2. Not as involved as the 1st. Story mode: if you play the swat you rescue hostages, kill/arrest the cult type terrorist, & secure the site. If your the terrorist your objective is to do various bad things killing swat, hostages, blowing things up & depending on how you do depends on your funding for future missions. In the end the game doesn't care how you do it as long as its done, example you don't really need to leave a rear guard as you clear a house or even go in for that matter on some levels just use snipers to pick them off. The free mission mode allows you to run missions how you like you can use two full teams to clear a small house or one team to assault a terrorist base. both provided hours of fun (& some frustration at times) highly recommended for those that for the 1st game have a lot of patients & for the 2nd hasn't done this in real life (police &/or military) because you will scoff at how absurdly easy some of the levels make it.

Superb

I have been looking for so long for these games. I love SWAT 1 and its working great with Dos Box. I thought it might create problems but its perfect. SWAT 2 is great and it gives you more freedom to move but stil you must do the correct choices. Both games are working great!!!
