Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition Official Soundtrack
Description
Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition includes the unaltered original version and the Enhanced Edition in one definitive collection exclusively on GOG.com. (The original version will be automatically added to your account after purchase.) The original Planescape: Torment was released in 1999 to widespread critical acclaim. It won RPG of the Year from multiple outlets for its unconventional story, characters, and amazing soundtrack. Since then, millions of Planescape: Torment fans have enjoyed exploring the strange and dangerous city of Sigil and surrounding planes through the Nameless One's eyes.

Discover an incredibly rich story and a setting unlike anything else in fantasy. Defeat strange and alien creatures, engage in rich dialogue, and explore the dark and dangerous Planescape setting in this 50+ hour RPG classic.

This is Planescape: Torment like you’ve never seen before."What can change the nature of a man?" - You are the Nameless One, a hulking figure covered in scars and tattoos collected over the course of countless lives—none of which you can remember, but are now coming back to haunt you. You are prodded awake by Morte, a floating skull and keeper of secrets, to embark on an adventure taking The Nameless One from the dirty streets of Sigil into the mysterious Outer Planes and even into the depths of Hell itself.

Portals riddle the planar metropolis of Sigil, providing access to anywhere in existence, but only if you have the proper key. Known as the "City of Doors," Sigil is a neutral ground where demons, devas, and races from across the multiverse gather under the watchful shadow of the Lady of Pain, the city's enigmatic ruler. This is a place where the word is mightier than the sword, where thought defines reality, and belief has the power to reshape worlds.

In your search for answers, you'll find companions matching the bizarre nature of the planes: a chaste succubus who can kill with a kiss, a confused crossbow-wielding cube, a suit of armor animated by a spirit demanding JUSTICE, and more. With these companions and others at The Nameless One’s side, you will explore worlds in search of answers, all to discover that some destinies cannot be escaped and some memories cost more than an even an immortal can bear.

Don't support Beamdog

Beamdog is the scourge of "Enhanced Editions" of amazing games. They don't deserve any support at all and all of their games should be pirated if people wants to play them. GOG, I used to love you and praise your DRM free platform but if you keep removing great games and replacing them with shitty alternatives like this "Enhanced Edition", I'm going to stop buying games on GOG altogether and just continue to apply no-DRM patches to Steam games so that the games become disconnected to Steam (because fuck DRM clients). It's ridiculous to remove PS:T entirely with it being the #1 bestseller on GOG and replacing it with a mod that's even worse than the original. Now the "Enhanced Edition" is on page 11 if sorting by "Bestselling". Not so much of a bestseller is it now that Beamdog "Enhanced" it, huh?

Still full of game-breaking bugs.

The enhanced edition is an improvement, for me. It adds, amongst other things, a search bar for the journal (which was otherwise a pain to use) and the ability to zoom in and out, which I didn't expect to find useful but ended up quite liking. It does not as far as I am aware, add jarring new content or make story-related changes. Perhaps Beamdog have fixed lots of bugs, but I still find that it crashes to desktop periodically, and worse still, conversation bugs that can render the game unwinnable still exist (or have been introduced). As an example, in the lead-up to the final area of the game, during a significant conversation, instead of conversation options it presented NO VALID REPLIES OR LINKS which when clicked on ends the conversation -- without progressing the story. All in all, if you are considering buying any form of this game (and I think you should), I still recommend this one. If you have played it before and are unsure as to whether you can be bothered with the bugs, and want to know whether it's all fixed these days, then maybe don't bother.

Beamdong's Greed

The enhanced edition deserves a 3/5 stars at best due to the minimal effort put into the 'enhancing'. However, a 1/5 star is given because Beamdog took down the unaltered original version, which was much cheaper, and then tied it to this 'enhanced version', which cost is still extremely steep and which this version is not as moddable as the unaltered original version. Accompanied by this, the official soundtrack is now completely separate from the unaltered original version, being sold separately as an 'enhanced soundtrack' for $ 9.99; yes, I purchased the original version when it was still available in-store and got the soundtrack with it for free. Thus, Beamdog has earned a new name to forever be placed upon its face: Beamdong.

Story for your soul

I never was an RPG type. Not long after I've first time played Baldur's Gate games (back in 2016) I absolutely fell in love in them. So I've decided to play this one. And oh boi it was a wild ride. For my emotions I mean. There is few games that force you to rethink who you are and what you are doing in your life. This one is prime example of such games. Gameplay maybe aged, but topic is still relevant and if you are emotional type, like I am, this is a must-play-title.

Newbie (great game)

First off, I have never played the original. But, I am aware of the things being said about the beamdog and classic versions etc. Would I be upset if I _had_ played the original? Maybe, but we will never know. One thing that drew me to this game was native linux support. I refuse to use windows and this game works great on my comp. The story is amazing even by todays standards. I have no problem with the UI or newly implemented features. Like I said: never played the original. This game is written better than most movies or TV shows I've ever seen. I love the characters and all the settings. I love being able to start a new game and be a completely different kind of character. So, from my point of view I think it's a great deal! 1. Native linux support 2. Awesome Game 3. only 20 dollars. Which I don't think is asking too much for such a great work of art.
