Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition Official Soundtrack
Description
Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition includes the unaltered original version and the Enhanced Edition in one definitive collection exclusively on GOG.com. (The original version will be automatically added to your account after purchase.) The original Planescape: Torment was released in 1999 to widespread critical acclaim. It won RPG of the Year from multiple outlets for its unconventional story, characters, and amazing soundtrack. Since then, millions of Planescape: Torment fans have enjoyed exploring the strange and dangerous city of Sigil and surrounding planes through the Nameless One's eyes.

Discover an incredibly rich story and a setting unlike anything else in fantasy. Defeat strange and alien creatures, engage in rich dialogue, and explore the dark and dangerous Planescape setting in this 50+ hour RPG classic.

This is Planescape: Torment like you’ve never seen before."What can change the nature of a man?" - You are the Nameless One, a hulking figure covered in scars and tattoos collected over the course of countless lives—none of which you can remember, but are now coming back to haunt you. You are prodded awake by Morte, a floating skull and keeper of secrets, to embark on an adventure taking The Nameless One from the dirty streets of Sigil into the mysterious Outer Planes and even into the depths of Hell itself.

Portals riddle the planar metropolis of Sigil, providing access to anywhere in existence, but only if you have the proper key. Known as the "City of Doors," Sigil is a neutral ground where demons, devas, and races from across the multiverse gather under the watchful shadow of the Lady of Pain, the city's enigmatic ruler. This is a place where the word is mightier than the sword, where thought defines reality, and belief has the power to reshape worlds.

In your search for answers, you'll find companions matching the bizarre nature of the planes: a chaste succubus who can kill with a kiss, a confused crossbow-wielding cube, a suit of armor animated by a spirit demanding JUSTICE, and more. With these companions and others at The Nameless One’s side, you will explore worlds in search of answers, all to discover that some destinies cannot be escaped and some memories cost more than an even an immortal can bear.

  • Remastered Music: The full Planescape: Torment soundtrack has been remastered in-game to add more depth to Sigil and the multiverse.

The best book I ever read.

Exactly what is says on the title. If you don't mind dialogue heavy games and subpar combat, you'll find one of the most thought provoking narratives not just in any game, but in general. It really is a masterpiece in writing that hits home to the player. Just play it on the easiest difficulty.

These worlds, characters and plot

The game allows you to feel and imagine this huge Lore. Immerse yourself in the stories of individual characters. The text in the game is enjoyable. Not surprising. After all, the game comes from a time when it was impossible to get interested in graphics. And the creators interested me in the plot. Tech things: I didn't experience any inconvenience with the UI/UX (reading window size or controls). This did not affect my enjoyment of the game in any way. Moreover, the game allows you to flexibly set a pause after key events in battle, which makes the gameplay quite convenient.

some crazy comments out here

I went through the reviews to fully understand the rating here. There are so many narrow-minded people commenting here, its insane! ..."dont buy from beamdog" "money grab" bla bla... for some people its the only chance to play these games for the first time and these guys are actually patching their EE even after years after release like BG1/BG2... I dont get all the hate from frustrated people that put only their subjective view on the front line writing trash without any constructive backup... pure flustration, thats mental! I am actually glad that there is a company that releases these old titles for modern hardware that I would never bother to look for in their oryginal version instead. For some titles like PST I would probably never had a chance to get familiar with. Dont buy if you dont like it or dont have to, its really that simple.

Better then others EE products

The best book I've ever played, the best game I've ever read. Almost 20 years past and the game still keeps it's level of professionally made-up. The plot, charackters and music are only major aspects to keep this game in mind for long years,

Beyond just a good CRPG

You probably heard this game was good. You probably heard it was REAL good. But you don't really know ANYTHING until you played it. You might have read all the praise for games like Baldur's Gate or Icewind Dale and think is like that, just another good CRPG, and you gotta know, this is beyond any of that. I have just finished my first playthrough and I am as happy to have played it as I am baffled that I have not heard more about this game sooner. So, if you're reading positive reviews, you're luckier than I was, because I gotta urge you - PLAY IT! There is a lot of reading in it, the game is really more a piece of literature than anything, one that uses video games as a medium to tell a masterful mystery, one of the best stories I've ever read. Stringing you along for 60 hours on an adventure to find out who you are, what you are and where you are. The content in this game is the mystery, your main victories aren't loot, or stats, they're information, and so you should avoid spoilers like the plague. The less you know - the better, and so maybe the game's unknown status these days is for the best, the more mystery for the rest of us.
