Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition Official Soundtrack
Description
Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition includes the unaltered original version and the Enhanced Edition in one definitive collection exclusively on GOG.com. (The original version will be automatically added to your account after purchase.) The original Planescape: Torment was released in 1999 to widespread critical acclaim. It won RPG of the Year from multiple outlets for its unconventional story, characters, and amazing soundtrack. Since then, millions of Planescape: Torment fans have enjoyed exploring the strange and dangerous city of Sigil and surrounding planes through the Nameless One's eyes.

Discover an incredibly rich story and a setting unlike anything else in fantasy. Defeat strange and alien creatures, engage in rich dialogue, and explore the dark and dangerous Planescape setting in this 50+ hour RPG classic.

This is Planescape: Torment like you’ve never seen before."What can change the nature of a man?" - You are the Nameless One, a hulking figure covered in scars and tattoos collected over the course of countless lives—none of which you can remember, but are now coming back to haunt you. You are prodded awake by Morte, a floating skull and keeper of secrets, to embark on an adventure taking The Nameless One from the dirty streets of Sigil into the mysterious Outer Planes and even into the depths of Hell itself.

Portals riddle the planar metropolis of Sigil, providing access to anywhere in existence, but only if you have the proper key. Known as the "City of Doors," Sigil is a neutral ground where demons, devas, and races from across the multiverse gather under the watchful shadow of the Lady of Pain, the city's enigmatic ruler. This is a place where the word is mightier than the sword, where thought defines reality, and belief has the power to reshape worlds.

In your search for answers, you'll find companions matching the bizarre nature of the planes: a chaste succubus who can kill with a kiss, a confused crossbow-wielding cube, a suit of armor animated by a spirit demanding JUSTICE, and more. With these companions and others at The Nameless One’s side, you will explore worlds in search of answers, all to discover that some destinies cannot be escaped and some memories cost more than an even an immortal can bear.

  • Remastered Music: The full Planescape: Torment soundtrack has been remastered in-game to add more depth to Sigil and the multiverse.

The highest peak ever reached

This wonderful RPG is not based on hacking your enemies to earn gold and XPs but rather on a very complex plot which requires attention. Every interaction has a meaning and the environment is by no means a generic fantasy land. Buy it if you are fed up with linear plots and level grinding.

Totally Screwed up by BeamDog

I am stuck in a small hut, where a portal is not spawning, although I have the item. I have put the code into the .lua file to use the move area cheat, but that does not work. CTRL+space does not open the command console. Anything else that BeamDog wants to screw up on these games? I'm tired of people praising these hack jobs. I played the original and at least you could use the command console to fix these sorts of bugs. Now, you cannot. The .lua file is called Baldur.lua, as are all of the save files. This is not Baldur's Gate. This is Planescape: Torment! Regardless, if the game is using that .lua file, the command console should open. Please provide a key for access to the NON-Hacked-Edition of this game.

Still the Greatest story driven CRPG

Simply put, it is still the greatest story driven CRPG, just replayed this EE version on steam and the game is just as amazing as it was back then. I absolutely love this EE version compared to the BG:EE and alike, since they have not messed with the game itself, just made it work with modern specs, updated the UI to work seamlessly with the new resolutions without ANY adjustment needed right out off the box Also the loot all feature (default: T) is an absolute life safer when fighting swarms like rats No matter if you have or haven't played this game before, it is easily the best game purchase you can ever make

Classic Dungeons and Dragons gameplay

If you liked games like Baldur's Gate, then this is right up your alley. The graphics are old and outdated, but if you enjoy the universe of Dungeons and Dragons, this is all but perfect. Grim, but perfect. Personally, not a big fan of games where the whole background is just a picture and my lil' characters get to run around on it, but again, if you liked Baldur's Gate or IceWind Dale, you probably want this. I wouldn't buy it again (and in fact, thought I was buying a different game when first I bought it), but I don't regret my purchase. It's just not for me.

An unsurpassed classic

Pretty much everything you've read about this game is spot on, just play it already. If you love narrative driven games this is pretty much as good as it gets. Not to say that its age doesn't show and it hasn't any flaws (the combat is really underwhelming, for one), but I am saying what makes this game good completely makes up for these irritations. Be prepared to read a lot, as the meat and bones of this game is in the dialogue and the choices you make. There's so much to dive into in this game that it took me roughly 7 years of trying this game on and off before I bit the bullet and pushed through the VERY overwhelming first 1-2 hours of this game. You're thrust into this completely alien world playing as a character with memory loss, and in hindsight I feel like the overwhelming amount of information you have to deal with in the earlier parts of the game is, while pretty rough by today's standards, is exactly what is necessary for immersion and really seeing the world through The Nameless One's eyes.
