Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition Official Soundtrack
Description
Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition includes the unaltered original version and the Enhanced Edition in one definitive collection exclusively on GOG.com. (The original version will be automatically added to your account after purchase.) The original Planescape: Torment was released in 1999 to widespread critical acclaim. It won RPG of the Year from multiple outlets for its unconventional story, characters, and amazing soundtrack. Since then, millions of Planescape: Torment fans have enjoyed exploring the strange and dangerous city of Sigil and surrounding planes through the Nameless One's eyes.

Discover an incredibly rich story and a setting unlike anything else in fantasy. Defeat strange and alien creatures, engage in rich dialogue, and explore the dark and dangerous Planescape setting in this 50+ hour RPG classic.

This is Planescape: Torment like you’ve never seen before."What can change the nature of a man?" - You are the Nameless One, a hulking figure covered in scars and tattoos collected over the course of countless lives—none of which you can remember, but are now coming back to haunt you. You are prodded awake by Morte, a floating skull and keeper of secrets, to embark on an adventure taking The Nameless One from the dirty streets of Sigil into the mysterious Outer Planes and even into the depths of Hell itself.

Portals riddle the planar metropolis of Sigil, providing access to anywhere in existence, but only if you have the proper key. Known as the "City of Doors," Sigil is a neutral ground where demons, devas, and races from across the multiverse gather under the watchful shadow of the Lady of Pain, the city's enigmatic ruler. This is a place where the word is mightier than the sword, where thought defines reality, and belief has the power to reshape worlds.

In your search for answers, you'll find companions matching the bizarre nature of the planes: a chaste succubus who can kill with a kiss, a confused crossbow-wielding cube, a suit of armor animated by a spirit demanding JUSTICE, and more. With these companions and others at The Nameless One’s side, you will explore worlds in search of answers, all to discover that some destinies cannot be escaped and some memories cost more than an even an immortal can bear.

An amazing game just became even better

Ah, good old Planescape Torment, a true classic of CRPGs returns with some much-welcomed extra polish. The story and dialog are still as unique and riveting as they've ever been, but now the game also has a few extra improvement that make the game even more enjoyable. Or if you just want to play the game exactly the way it's always been, you have that option as well. But anyway, speaking about the improvements, we're talking about a new zoom system, sprite outlines, increased framerate, better area transitions, highlighting of useable items on the map, new UI, stability improvements on newer systems... the list goes on. And for those saying "these changes could be achieved by just using mods", I'd love to try whatever it is that they're smoking. Because we've been there, we've played this game with mods for almost two decades now and no mod did all the things the remaster has to offer. Especially not without conflicting with one another and starting a nightmare of uninstalls. So if you want to play one of the greatest RPGs of all time, then this is definitely the way to go. Have fun... but beware the Lady of Pain.

Simply the best

I would just give 10 points out of 5 maximum. Planescape Torment is the best game ever created in my opinion. The enhanced edition doesn't change anything at this perfect setup, wounderful story and awesome possibilities just makes it easier to play it without the need of mods, etc.

Keeping an open mind

I will admit, when I first saw this replaced the original PS:T in the store, I was agitated. The price went up and it seemed to be just the original game with mods attached. When I relaxed and found out everything that was done for the game, I went ahead and purchased it. First, you can easily go into the game and start playing without having to worry about anything, as it's fully patched up for modern machines. Second, it's still the original story with nothing changed or added..which if you know the story you *know* it needs nothing. Third, it's now on every platform that I want it on. I picked it up on Google Play, and it is a family library game, so it is now on every Android device we own. I even setup an auto sync with GDrive between my tablet, phone, and laptop so I can just keep playing the same game. It runs super smooth on Windows 8.1, as well as the Pixel. A bit choppy at times on Tab S2. Haven't had a chance to test Linux yet, or Mac OS. I haven't heard much of the audio yet, but the little I have heard sounds great. The game plays best on here of course(PC), as to be expected. Black Isle is credited, and the game is still the same amazing one. This game is such a gem, I really hate to see it get low reviews simply because of the company that did the remastering. Let's just rate the game for what it is, as it is the only version available now.

What's not to love?

Great game. Used to play, haven't been able to on modern machines. This version allows me too. And it looks better than ever!

The best version of the best RPG ever.

Not much needs to be said. Planescape: Torment is considered by many to be the best game of all time, and tat praise is rightfully earned. While its gameplay lacks in comparison to other cRPGs like Baldur's Gate, its writing is unmatched by any other game. You'll remember these characters forever. As for the Enhanced Edition, it's simply superior to the original version. Yes, you can fix the original's resolution and bugs with mods, but the EE has all that, many more options, an excellent UI, looks way sharper and is a lot more stable. There is simply no good reason to play the original version anymore when the EE does everything better. All in all, if you've ever cared about games, or hell, storytelling in general, you owe it to yourself to play Planescape: Torment. And you might as well save yourself the headache of dealing with outdated software and play it through this excellently done Enhanced Edition.
