Worst crap ever

First, i never understood all that hype about this game. When it was released peoples gone crazy. When i tried it i...was shocked. Second - nobody cannot say i "just dont understand it" cause i like 3079 and 3089 which is way stranger. So, about game. Basically you just need to go in one room after another and fight voxel based monsters. There is not much of plot or style or similar things in this game. Just go and kill or die. Usually you will die. Game is insanely hard, but its not that "challenging" hardness but just unfair type - put gamer in almost impossible combat and see how it will survive. Some peoples loves that stuff, not me. Music? Oh, that awful sounds just asks to be disabled right after you hear. Gameplay? Its generic shooter with some weird gimmic. And yeah, all that rumors about developers engaging in quarrel with gamers and not tolerating any critical response and "being jerks" its all truth. But all of that is not important. Main thing is that this game NOT WORTH EVEN A PENNY. Its looks cheap, its plays cheap. If you want some "strange shooter" which will not just anger you for nothing - look at some other game.

Paradumbical Sucktivity: Ultimate Horror

This Game was one of the most frustrating, angerinducing Games that I ever played in my entire life. I hate this game to the deepest core of my blood and soul. It is unfair and unbalanced, the music is torture and I am a Hardcoretechno veteran, there are only very few sounds in the game and most are weak and shallow and the graphics are destroying the receptorcells in your eyes. Gameplaywise we have unspeakably weak and bland designed weapons, that are mostly useless apart from the shotgun and the plasmachaingun, which are like using toyguns or Nerf. The greatest are the collisions with the levels, where I time and again got stuck in the geometry of the stairs, so that the enemys could just finish me off. Also great was the four-corner-blandness, that the guy, who somehow brought his computer to ejaculate this game into existence, calls "leveldesign". HEY, lets smack some swastikas to the walls in later level and call that "New Levels"! Everything looks exactly the same, and no, it also must be dark as ass because you could probably win if you could see the enemies, who are all bland, generic and mostly ripoffs from games like Doom (Flaming Skulls, Barons of Hell, Vagary from Doom 3), Blood (winged skeleton with sword), AD&D (Beholder), Gary from Spongebob (Giant Snail) and so forth... The Items sucks and make either barely any difference or stab you in the back with draconic negative permaeffects. I could bring on a lot more, but after wasting nearly 20 Hours in this game for an indepht review I had to do, I just want to never see this most sicknessinducing fraud of a game and forget, that I wasted also a reduced price of 6$ on this undead, hollow, soulless shell of a game. Stay away. It´s not bad that it´s good, it´s just bad in the worst way.

A slapdashed puzzle of a game

I was pretty disappointed by this game. It sounded cool in the description, but the final product is so dissonant from a whole experience, I can hardly stand to play more than 3 minutes. The out of place dubstep, modern weapons, medieval cavern structure. Nothing fits. There are better games than this one like Zuggurat and Tower of Guns. This one is really flimsy.

If you like tower of guns, give it a go

I want to give this 3 and a 1/2, because 3 seems not enough and 4 too much. You HAVE to read the manual, this game is HARD and throws you in the deep end. Certain combinations of power-ups will screw you over and others will be hilariously powerful, there's a fair bit of luck involved as well. I love the soundtrack, but if you don't like heavy electronic music you will probably want to turn it off. PA has a ton of items, power ups and guns to unlock so if you get the hang of it it will keep you interested for a while. If on sale, definitely recommend.

Right up there with Master of Orion 3.

I wasn't there for the developer drama, but this is just a box of awful all around. While this could be a really fun game, the inspirations are used in a way that hinders the gameplay rather than makes it enjoyable. Doom+Binding of Isaac sounds great on the tin: Doom boasts fast movement and shooting action while BoI provided you with items that made a noticable difference when obtained in the middle of the action. Unfortunately while the movement is quick (slowdown instances I had encountered are not mentioned, this possibly may depend on your machine) the shooting feels largely unsatisfying, and the items have the unfortunate pitfall that a good roguelike tries to avoid by being massively unbalanced. Everything it does right, Tower of Guns or Ziggurat tend to do better. Avoid.
