Description
Whistleblower starts the story that led to Outlast, and stretches past the events of the first game to show the true final chapter in the story of Mount Massive Asylum.

Outlast: Whistleblower follows the story of Waylon Park, the software engineer under contract with the Murkoff Corporation who emails journalists around the world - including Miles Upshur - at the beginning of Outlast.

You'll meet Waylon a few weeks into his time at Mount Massive, during which he has been unable to even contact his wife and son thanks to strict security protocols. Having developed a deep-seated distrust of the profit-motivated scientists and doctors leading dangerous and irresponsible experiments on their patients, Waylon ends up setting events in motion that lead to the unmasking of Mount Massive's rotten core.

It was good. Except for one thing.

While this game is very good. I felt it was lacking In the whole "This game ties up all loose ends" thing. I just felt like it didn't really tell me anything I didn't already know. But gameplay wise, its still outlast. So if you enjoyed outlast, then your probably going to pick this up regardless.

Good game but weaker than the original

I will keep this short: this expansion is the same Outlast, so if you liked the original for sure you will appreciate this one. But this is weaker than the original game: whereas the first focused more on atmosphere and feeling, this expansion has less of it and more gore and vulgarity. I didn't like the increased amount of gore and vulgarity, usually when things like this happen in a game/movie means that the creators ran out of ideas for the story telling. I wish they had kep the same story telling line from the first game, without trying to improve on something already great. Even though I disliked the increase in gore and vulgarity, I do consider this to still be a strong game and, if you can stand the aforementioned flaws, I recommend it. Also this expansion is pretty lenghty, I finished it in several hours, so a good return for the money.

Horror in Mount Massive!

Yes, this DLC is better than the original game. It was more action, but all has sense and logic. Some scenes are VERY crude, so if you're a sensible person, you shouldn't try this game. Great story and good gameplay. Bad thing? They recycled a lot of things from the original game (Including main character's voice, WTF?) I really recommend this game.

An Awesome Follow Up To The Base Game

If you enjoyed the base game, then you will enjoy Whistleblower. It is a rather short add on, but well worth it. It sums up the story of the base game. It goes through the events of how this whole thing started and shows the true ending. The new characters that are added are all interesting additions and it still has the awesome chase and puzzle sequences of the first. All in all I have no real complaints besides that it is kinda short.
