Description
Outlast 2 is the sequel to the acclaimed survival horror game Outlast. Set in the same universe as the first game, but with different characters and a different setting, Outlast 2 is a twisted new journey into the depths of the human mind and its dark secrets.
Outlast 2 introduces you to Sullivan Knoth and his followers, who left our wicked world behind to give birth to Temple Gate, a town, deep in the wilderness and hidden from civilization. Knoth and his flock are preparing for the tribulations of the end of times and you’re right in the thick of it.
You are Blake Langermann, a cameraman working with your wife, Lynn. The two of you are investigative journalists willing to take risks and dig deep to uncover the stories no one else will dare touch.
You're following a trail of clues that started with the seemingly impossible murder of a pregnant woman known only as Jane Doe. The investigation has lead you miles into the Arizona desert, to a darkness so deep that no one could shed light upon it, and a corruption so profound that going mad may be the only sane thing to do.

Almost wish it wasn't Outlast
This is honestly a great horror game. I don't believe that can be denied. It plays great, adds to the formula setup by the first, and ends on a note that is somehow obscure and yet satisfying. In addition it expanded on the formula for gameplay from Outlast and does so amazing well. But it is not without it's flaws, adding new types of gameplay that overall work great, but manage to stumble from time to time. If it were not part of the Outlast series, I expect people would be singing it's praises, and in fact unless you found those same specific details I keep talking about, it might as well not be. However, that connection is perhaps the biggest issue the game has. It's absolutely vital you get it if you want to really understand what just happened in this game at all, and without it, the game is a weird mix of two stories that work on their own but are not related beyond memories surfacing for "reasons" while Blake is trying to find his wife. In short it seems like this game's biggest crime is being "somehow" connected to the previous game and just not being as good as that last game was, however good it is in it's own right.

excellent sequel!!
Much improved compared to the first game, very dark and very memorable scary moments, I highly recommend it and even more if you already played the first game.

The tense parts are really difficult on Hard, still manageable, the story is Scary and crazy.

Intense and unforgettable horror
I loved playing Outlast 2. It’s scary, challenging, and keeps you hooked from start to finish. The story made me think and the atmosphere was super real. If you like horror games that really get to you, this is the one. Definitely worth playing!
