Description

Simplicity to perfection.

To be played in bursts.

By design, there is no story.

Only crazy kung-fu.

You're surrounded, outnumbered and have to use any weapon you can get your hands on to dismantle your opponents in a flurry of kung fu. That's the essence of OFDP2, the world's fastest brawler. It features the original OFDP's unique two-button mechanics which we've spent the last five years perfecting. Speed and precision are key in this whirlwind fighting frenzy, as players maintain control over the 26 different unlockable skills, frenetic gameplay, and classic kung fu-inspired animations.

ATTACK LEFT or ATTACK RIGHT

We want to show that a fighting game can be complex without cumbersome button combinations. Once players complete the tutorial levels and learn the basics, they'll see that this is the most intense two-button game ever made.

With 1000 different animations available, literally, anything is possible—particularly when players unlock each of the 26 available skills. Having these skills available simultaneously is a major design challenge that encompasses the core of what OFDP2 is trying to achieve. Seeing the game with all 26 skills is a spectacle unique to OFDP2.

We built this game as a palette cleanser between other games in your library. It was designed to deliver a quick hit of adrenaline as fast as possible.

You can't get a feel for the gameplay from watching videos. The flow of combat is something we spent years tweaking. It's what makes OFDP2 unique. Only by playing it will this become clear.

*You can turn the announcer on or off in the options.

*64 bit operating systems only.

*Windows 7 might have issues playing the few video files in the game.

Easiest Stress-Inducing Game Ever

This game couldn’t be easier to play. Click left or right. Sometimes click fast to win a duel. But that’s it. Your power-ups trigger on their own as they build up. Yet you will lose. More often than you think. Let’s knock the only negative out of the way here: that power-up thing above. They will trigger when you least want them to. Oh, your power-up that wipes all the enemies out on one side? That’ll go off just when there’s only one enemy to kill, which feels wasted. But this isn’t all that bad, as there’s so many unique power-ups. You’ll be mopping the floor with your enemies. The game starts easy. There are only a few baddies and no one is rushing you. But the game has an interesting mechanic: the better you do, the faster the game goes. When there’s few people to deal with, this won’t matter a lot. However, this will change: levels soon have 200-300+ people to beat. Some levels have over 1000. The game also has various game modes. Some limit how far you can see, others how far you can hit, and yet others require you to kill enemies in a certain way. This gets a little limited after you beat the main maps, however, as levels are randomly generated afterwards. But you can always go back to the map if you want to replay certain modes. This isn’t a game you play for hours on end, yet it works. And the simple mechanics means almost anyone can play.

Surprisingly deep 2-finger control game.

I own both this & it's prequel on Steam & have sunk quite a lot of hours into both of them. The trailers / videos CAN be a bit visually confusing (though the game does a decent job of gently/slowly teaching you the points - one at a time - and slowly ramping up the difficulty). It REALLY is a skill game (button mashing is NOT going to help you out here) and you slowly ramp up with reflexes & visual recognition of 'what to press when' ... and things get VERY messy and super-satisfying as you progress. The COMPLETELY over-the-top moves & 80-s martial arts inspired/love-letter game is just superbly enjoyable at VERY reasonable price (I've had much less enjoyment out of much more expensive games). This is really a master class in HOW to get a lot out of "rather little". The controls are super simple (2 mouse buttons) ... but it works SO WELL. The music is awesome - as are the visuals, and the graphics while "simplistic" are very much not simple -- and work really well. All in all, a fantastic sleeper of a hit, that is excellent to enjoy piece-meal (whether for 5 minutes for a quick level or 2 hours) :).

Awesome game with gamebreaking bug

While I absolutely love this game, I cannot in good faith recommend getting it. The game has a gamebreaking bug that seems to be hitting randomly. You might be the lucky ones and play entire game without problem, or you will get stuck 10 levels in. The bug causes that at certain point while playing a level, the enemies will just stop spawning. You're just playing and then the enemies just stop coming at you, meaning you cannot finish the level. This bug has been reported for years now by many players, but not a single beep from developers. They just don't care. This bug hits both Steam and GoG version. Funnily enough, the pirated version works perfectly. Though is it really piracy if you own the game, but the pirated version is the only playable one?

Great mindless fun with one serious bug

This game is the essence of gameplay over complexity and I love it - it's actually quite amazing how fun and dynamic the fights can be despite the player being restricted to only two buttons. However, there is a serious bug which makes it impossible to win 100 % of the stages - some of them get stuck at certain enemy count (it's always the same for a particular stage) without more enemies coming in (e.g. you see there's 22 enemies left but nothing ever happens, forcing you to quit the stage without finishing it). Restarting the game doesn't help either. It's quite rare (maybe 1 in 20 stages suffer from this) but still pretty annoying as it prevents a completionst run (I haven't finished the game yet so I can't tell if it actually prevents you from finishing the game completely like one other user mentions in their review). Anyway, you can still have quite a lot of fun with this game as it is - just be warned that you're basically buying a PUBLIC BETA, not a finished, properly tested and patched game.
