o·mer·ta (-mûrt, mr-tä) - A rule or code that prohibits speaking or divulging information about the activities of a criminal organization.
Bug-eyed Bettys are making a racket with “lips that touch wine, won’t kiss mine” and not minding their own beeswax. The fuzz are busy closing down the local juice joints and pouring perfectly good spirits down the drain. All this fuss about liquor sure can drive a man to drink. It isn’t easy to wet one’s whistle but there some bootleggers who are always happy to provide as long as you got the scratch.
Omerta: City of Gangsters puts you into the boots of a fresh-from-the-boat immigrant with dreams of the big life. Work your way up the criminal hierarchy of 1920’s Atlantic City, starting with small jobs, recruiting new gang members and expanding your empire by taking territory from other mobsters. Establish your own crime syndicate and become the de facto ruler of Atlantic City!

Strategic real-time gameplay for planning coups, expanding your territory, extorting the competition, and bribing the authorities.
Lead your henchmen into elaborately planned turn-based tactical combat as you pull off bank heists, robberies, street battles, and more.

I actually quite liked the game, at least company. But sandbox is totally useless. so while company around 10h of gameplay is fun it does not merit of the full price,
Most of you around here think that Omerta is a bug disaster, is overpriced and is completely repetitive!
In my opinion, that´s totally wrong:
But let´s start with some negative things I agree to:
First of all the Sandbox mode IS useless. It simply doesn´t make any fun because of its lack of challenges.
As a second, the potential of the conjunction of round-based-combat and
Real-time-strategy is not really good:
Of cause you can buy a few better weapons for your characters in every district, they aren´t enough available at all and I´ve wished there would have been more ways to push up you´re characters.
At last some Buildings are quite underpowered in comparison to their prizing:
For example, you won´t be able to get more money with a 2400$-Casino than with a 350$-Boxing-Arena!
But: Do those negative points really count?
You doesn´t need that sand-box-mode at all and if the Casino is too weak? Then just run another business!
And, of cause, this game has really good aspects!
The campaign has got a very well driven story with very nice turning points, the cutscenes are just brilliant, the atmosphere supported by the great music is near-to-perfect and establishing a crime empire is lots of fun and, the tactical fights are quite challenging and you really need
tactics for them!
To put it in a nutshell this game is a really good one for everybody who likes the setting. It has got several weak points but is quite fun at all!
Radon
_ there are no whore you could control, nor their houses :(
_ the whole town is useless, in the end you mainly see the big icons on roofs
_ there is no real playstyle: all is opportunities and freeing any markets mainly by violence (style is just prefering range or close combat for your toon)
_ however the game is some pleasant: once learnt, you can play it still for long like a robot when you're tired (others could find it boring and so search for maximum violence in the game for tactical fights)
