In theory great, in practice grating
A physics based game where you're supposed to do your own builds to get whacky strong, sounded like it's exactly up my alley, -Spent one whole night (20h-4h) without looking up any information, I might have gotten as far as level 3 or 4 but by that point I was allways hopelessly outmatched. -Spent another afternoon stubbornly banging my head against the wall, because the phyics are exciting. -At some point I got so utterly frustrated by allways having the worst RNG after 25 minutes of super careful playing, just to see a still actually crap weapon robbed from me in 45 seconds... I started savescumming. -I'm pretty sure the game punishes you for savescumming, it will start flashing :-( @ and # at some point if you keep inserting the same save, and just be more unfair. -Spent another whole night trying like hell to get some wands down to the lower levels so I could try out a variety of stuff... -The next day I had a full inventory and a save at level 4-5 or so. All the stuff I brought and built was utter shite. Only thing I learned is how to cheese the terrain and how you will allways anger the gods, so don't even think about saving hearts for backtracking in case you might be able to pull of more than one level with a healthbar. -Resigned myself to research the game. -Beat the game after some short video toturials, another afternoon and a shitload of savescumming, only thing that saved me was one particular spell that happened to be OP, it wasn't a particularly well built wand. -Started doing more serious research, had one or two decent runs without savescum where I found another method of backtracking... Still not sure what the point is since I can't edit wands in the level, or find a way to cheese the shop so I can get the heart at my convenience. -Spent another day dying "wealthy" (more than 500g) in level 1. RNGeesus must hate me. To anybody saying noita is actually easy and the exploration is the fun part and blabla... F you! Sigh, time to mod.
