No Man's Sky: Breach update is here!

Inspired by the adventure and imagination that we love from classic science-fiction, No Man's Sky presents you with a galaxy to explore, filled with unique planets and lifeforms, and constant danger and action.

In No Man's Sky, every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. In this infinite procedurally generated universe, you'll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before - and perhaps never will again.

Now including...

Play with all major updates since launch: Foundation, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises, NEXT, The Abyss, Visions, the 2.0 BEYOND update, Synthesis, Living Ship, Exo Mech, Desolation and the 3.0 update, ORIGINS, Next Generation, Companions, Expeditions, Prisms, Frontiers, Sentinel, Outlaws, Endurance, Waypoint (4.0), Fractal, Interceptor, Echoes, Omega, Orbital, Worlds Part I (5.0), Worlds Part II, Relics, Beacon and VOYAGERS (6.0).

And now with added Cross-Save! No Man’s Sky now supports Cross-Play and Cross-Save between a huge number of platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox One and Series X/S, Game Pass, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, PlayStation VR 1 & 2 and PCVR.

Available for PC and Mac (see recommended and minimum specs for details).

An epic voyage to the centre of a shared universe awaits, allowing you to explore, trade, fight and survive alone or with friends.

Embark on an epic voyage

At the centre of the galaxy lies an irresistible pulse which draws you on a journey towards it to learn the true nature of the cosmos. But, facing hostile creatures and fierce pirates, you'll know that death comes at a cost, and survival will be down to the choices you make over how you upgrade your ship, your weapon and suit.

Find your own destiny

Your voyage through No Man's Sky is up to you. Will you be a fighter, preying on the weak and taking their riches, or taking out pirates for their bounties? Power is yours if you upgrade your ship for speed and weaponry.

Or a trader? Find rich resources on forgotten worlds and exploit them for the highest prices. Invest in more cargo space and you'll reap huge rewards.

Or perhaps an explorer? Go beyond the known frontier and discover places and things that no one has ever seen before. Upgrade your engines to jump ever farther, and strengthen your suit for survival in toxic environments that would kill the unwary.

Share your journey

The galaxy is a living, breathing place. Trade convoys travel between stars, factions vie for territory, pirates hunt the unwary, and the police are ever watching. Every other player lives in the same galaxy, and you can choose to share your discoveries with them on a map that spans known space. Perhaps you will see the results of their actions as well as your own...

An Honest Review.

I have been reading about people having issues playing on a multitude of system configurations, most of which seem to be frame rate or crashing. While I don't think you should have to own a custom gaming rig that cost over 3 grand to play any game, I have just such a device. That enabled me to play the game from launch for over 10 hours without so much as a hiccup, that being said it is well worth any additional wait while they patch things up. I do want to make it clear that as of right now you will need a powerhouse to play. This is an unfortunate issue, since it tarnishes an otherwise perfect launch, but again it is worth the wait. Possible SPOILERS!! Now into the game, first thing, INVENTORY! The starting inventory is extremely small, and you must keep it consolidated constantly. The first impressions slowly faded into a slight sense of monotony, collect resources, fuel ship, repeat. Units are rather easy to make, several elements are worth quite a bit. The game can be played how you want, you pick the path and destination. Overall, I love the game, it's fun just to explore sometimes. Planets ranging from scorched deserts to iceballs exist, and definitely more. Once the game has been optimized for most devices I do recommend giving it a try, there is so much to explore you will never see it all.

Well optimized, fun to play at first

The game runs excellent on my laptop (6700K & 8GB 980, Win 10) max settings 1080 roughly 80-100 fps most times. When it's raining it can drop down to 60-70 but is still nice and smooth. It ran great from the start, with no special tweaks needed. I am using a gsync display so maybe that helps. Also I can alt tab when playing in fullscreen just fine but some folks seem to have issues with that. It's fun and full of promise. Lots of things to do and never ending exploration, literally. I feel Hello Games came through on everything I knew about anyway. It's unique game and ideas and of course being DRM free when offline is awesome so you could play it even if they took the servers down tomorrow. The art is nice and they hit the classic sci-fi feeling perfectly. The install is tiny so that makes the look of the game even more amazing. My worry is that it does seem to get repetitive fast. I've only played a dozen hours but without unique weapons and ship parts etc it just all feels the same. I know it's a crafting game and maybe I'm just too used to grinding levels and equipment vs crafting things. I also worry about what happens when you get the best recipes/ships? I mean will they continue to add more end game content, more things to do?

More than hype

Most of the reviews for this game are talking more about the hype than the game itself. If you bought this for the hype and are disappointed, then this game wasn't for you and it's your own fault. No Man's Sky is a sandbox universe with a survival theme, filled with alien races, upgradable technology, ruins, outposts, alien flora and fauna and hazards, oh so many hazards. At the moment it runs like a dog, but I don't care. The developers are currently working on code to optimize it for more CPU's. I give this a 5 out of 5 because the developers delivered what they said they would and I'm loving every moment.

Good idea, bad development.

I like the gameplay, but random crashes and incredibly poor image quality and performace makes this a bad game.

Poor Performance

4770K / 1080GTX despite doing numerous tweaks the game runs like garbage 70% of the time. GOG version is also not getting patches like the Steam version and support has not replied to any tickets. Initiated a charge back this morning.
