No Man's Sky: Breach update is here!

Inspired by the adventure and imagination that we love from classic science-fiction, No Man's Sky presents you with a galaxy to explore, filled with unique planets and lifeforms, and constant danger and action.

In No Man's Sky, every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. In this infinite procedurally generated universe, you'll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before - and perhaps never will again.

Now including...

Play with all major updates since launch: Foundation, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises, NEXT, The Abyss, Visions, the 2.0 BEYOND update, Synthesis, Living Ship, Exo Mech, Desolation and the 3.0 update, ORIGINS, Next Generation, Companions, Expeditions, Prisms, Frontiers, Sentinel, Outlaws, Endurance, Waypoint (4.0), Fractal, Interceptor, Echoes, Omega, Orbital, Worlds Part I (5.0), Worlds Part II, Relics, Beacon and VOYAGERS (6.0).

And now with added Cross-Save! No Man’s Sky now supports Cross-Play and Cross-Save between a huge number of platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox One and Series X/S, Game Pass, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, PlayStation VR 1 & 2 and PCVR.

Available for PC and Mac (see recommended and minimum specs for details).

An epic voyage to the centre of a shared universe awaits, allowing you to explore, trade, fight and survive alone or with friends.

Embark on an epic voyage

At the centre of the galaxy lies an irresistible pulse which draws you on a journey towards it to learn the true nature of the cosmos. But, facing hostile creatures and fierce pirates, you'll know that death comes at a cost, and survival will be down to the choices you make over how you upgrade your ship, your weapon and suit.

Find your own destiny

Your voyage through No Man's Sky is up to you. Will you be a fighter, preying on the weak and taking their riches, or taking out pirates for their bounties? Power is yours if you upgrade your ship for speed and weaponry.

Or a trader? Find rich resources on forgotten worlds and exploit them for the highest prices. Invest in more cargo space and you'll reap huge rewards.

Or perhaps an explorer? Go beyond the known frontier and discover places and things that no one has ever seen before. Upgrade your engines to jump ever farther, and strengthen your suit for survival in toxic environments that would kill the unwary.

Share your journey

The galaxy is a living, breathing place. Trade convoys travel between stars, factions vie for territory, pirates hunt the unwary, and the police are ever watching. Every other player lives in the same galaxy, and you can choose to share your discoveries with them on a map that spans known space. Perhaps you will see the results of their actions as well as your own...

Not a 60 dollar game

Regardless of the events before or after the games release. This is a "huge" game of repeating assets shuffled around in a lego like fashion to trick you into thinking its an endless universe. In reality you'll have seen much of what the game has to offer within your first few solar systems. Even looking past that, it's a very shallow experience. The new features added by expansions only push the game sideways, rather than forward, by adding new ways of experiencing the shallow universe. You travel around collecting resources to do, essentially, nothing. The short story is padded with massive travel times where you essentially have nothing to do but 'explore' planets. Which as I said, offers little intrigue after a few hours of gameplay. Id describe it as a overengineered tech demo, showing off planet generation tech. It's cool to look at, but the idea that this company feels it's fair to charge 60 dollars for it only shows that they care about money and nothing else.

Sorely disappointing, generous on stars

Worth $60? Not even close. The first 12 hours of game play and honestly the game is turning out to be nothing as described except in the most vague way. Is it procedural? Seems to be but the deviations I have seen vastly fall short and are little more attribute changes (color, slight shape change, sound, behavior, etc) and not in the category I would classify as a "different world. You could almost compare them to visiting different continents on Earth. There is the occasional "new" thing but they are rare and I suspect they are the very similar where they do occur. The in game HOWTO is one of the poorest I have seen in decades of playing games. It may as well be non-existent. The game play while interesting at first becomes laboriousness and little more than a "search for mounds of gold and mine for the next bigger ship so you can mine even more gold". The terrestrial controls are fairly decent but the flight simulation is horrendous. Everything from takes off randomly spewing you instantly into space flying backwards to being stuck flying upside down and sideways over the terrain. There is no terrestrial map and no way to create way points. There are in game way points but they seem to do little in the manner of providing a method to find your way back to them, the entire point of a way point. There is a space map but its nothing more than a system to system map. No in system map. How do you find the space station? Hope you face the right way and see an icon. So why 3 stars? The game is ok to play and some personalities will enjoy it but if you listen to the hype you are likely to request a refund. This gets me to 2 stars. The third is from the hope they are less hyping what they plan to add to the game. If they do as claimed and its NOT pay for DLCs the game could be a 3 or 4. I doubt any of this though and I think my three stars are generous. Skyrim was $60. If I use it as a gauge this game cant muster 1 star for the cost hence DLCs should be free.

Fun game. FPS fix at bottom

It's a great game, just too bad it isn't well optimized. Hopefully this is fixed soon. I don't recommend buying it yet until the problems are fixed.. unless you're a diehard fan that's been waiting 3 years for it. With a game on this scale, you can't expect it to be perfect day one. (Although it would have been nice) Tbh I'd rather play it as it is with the fps drops, waiting for it to be patched than have another release delay. Don't think that NMS will be abandoned by the devs anytime soon, Sean and the team deeply care for this game. Also, looking forward to base building and flying huge freight ships in future updates. ALSO, for FPS fix try this: go to - No Man's SkyBinariesSETTINGS open this file with notepad- "TKGRAPHICSSETTINGS.MXML" Search for - "GSync" value="True" Change true to "False"

Spore all over again but worse

From the start I had a hunch this game would end up suffering from its overhype, but I had not idea how bad the game would end up being. One paper this is an incredibly good idea: exploring literally thousands of planets with unique flora and fauna and interacting with aliens all with a Minecraft-type interface. Unfortunately the game is so buggy it makes an initial launch Bethesda game look bug free. The amount of crashes was inexcusable and the framerate dragged to a crawl multiple times and this was all on a powerful over clocked computer. The good news is the PS4 port isn't buggy at all, the bad news is bugs are the least of No Man's Sky's problems... If it were just bugs I could forgive this game, Armikrog for example was terribly buggy but now that it is ironed out it is a splendid game. But No Man's Sky's reward for getting past the bugs is an incredibly tedious experience. The amount of resource grinding is insane and is made all the more unbearable with your tiny inventory. Also the nearly unlimited number of planets you can explore? They start repeating after a while and even the life on them ends up repeating! The aliens have no personality and are just there to be vendors and exposition for a forgettable story Eventually the game did get better with an increased inventory and new types of planets... After about 22 hours of drudging through all the aforementioned problems. Even then the game remained tedious and boring. This is game is very much like Spore, an overhyped sic-fi game with incredible but ultimately unrealistic open-ended game ideas that ended up disappointing. The difference is Spore is an excellent game when you get past the fact it wasn't the Sim Universe we thought it would be, No Man's Sky is just a mess of bugs, boring gameplay, and broken promises.

Exactly What I Expected

No Man's Sky is exactly the game I've been waiting patiently for, and it does not disappoint. I have 21+ hours of gameplay out of it already (two days after release). Survive on a random planet, fix your ship, and get off the planet to explore a literal universe of discoveries. Great graphics, high-yet-smooth frame rates, and excellent controls. I have not seen any performance issues, and I have a mid-range system with a GeForce 780 Ti graphics card. The only bug I have noticed was a clipping issue. People who claim that repetitiveness is an issue might be in the wrong hobby, as video games may not be the best thing for their attention spans. Four out of five stars for pure fun alone, and I cannot wait to see what add-ons or DLC awaits us in the future!
