No Man's Sky: Voyagers update is here!

Inspired by the adventure and imagination that we love from classic science-fiction, No Man's Sky presents you with a galaxy to explore, filled with unique planets and lifeforms, and constant danger and action.

In No Man's Sky, every star is the light of a distant sun, each orbited by planets filled with life, and you can go to any of them you choose. Fly smoothly from deep space to planetary surfaces, with no loading screens, and no limits. In this infinite procedurally generated universe, you'll discover places and creatures that no other players have seen before - and perhaps never will again.

Now including...

Play with all major updates since launch: Foundation, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises, NEXT, The Abyss, Visions, the 2.0 BEYOND update, Synthesis, Living Ship, Exo Mech, Desolation and the 3.0 update, ORIGINS, Next Generation, Companions, Expeditions, Prisms, Frontiers, Sentinel, Outlaws, Endurance, Waypoint (4.0), Fractal, Interceptor, Echoes, Omega, Orbital, Worlds Part I (5.0), Worlds Part II, Relics, Beacon and VOYAGERS (6.0).

And now with added Cross-Save! No Man’s Sky now supports Cross-Play and Cross-Save between a huge number of platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox One and Series X/S, Game Pass, GOG, Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, PlayStation VR 1 & 2 and PCVR.

Available for PC and Mac (see recommended and minimum specs for details).

An epic voyage to the centre of a shared universe awaits, allowing you to explore, trade, fight and survive alone or with friends.

Embark on an epic voyage

At the centre of the galaxy lies an irresistible pulse which draws you on a journey towards it to learn the true nature of the cosmos. But, facing hostile creatures and fierce pirates, you'll know that death comes at a cost, and survival will be down to the choices you make over how you upgrade your ship, your weapon and suit.

Find your own destiny

Your voyage through No Man's Sky is up to you. Will you be a fighter, preying on the weak and taking their riches, or taking out pirates for their bounties? Power is yours if you upgrade your ship for speed and weaponry.

Or a trader? Find rich resources on forgotten worlds and exploit them for the highest prices. Invest in more cargo space and you'll reap huge rewards.

Or perhaps an explorer? Go beyond the known frontier and discover places and things that no one has ever seen before. Upgrade your engines to jump ever farther, and strengthen your suit for survival in toxic environments that would kill the unwary.

Share your journey

The galaxy is a living, breathing place. Trade convoys travel between stars, factions vie for territory, pirates hunt the unwary, and the police are ever watching. Every other player lives in the same galaxy, and you can choose to share your discoveries with them on a map that spans known space. Perhaps you will see the results of their actions as well as your own...

Early access that nobody knew about

Ok so this game is trying to live up to it's expectations a year too late. It is a 4/5 stars game RIGHT NOW. Not a year ago. with 60% discount and the atlas update, the game is GREAT! I love it. However I had to wait a year for it to reach the height it deserved. Like getting an early access game only I had no Idea I was getting an early access game. Anyway I'm glad it's close to being complete. Still waiting for much more stuff to be added. BTW. I read reviews about the graphics stuttering and getting frame drops? I play the game on a macbook pro and a desktop that is core 2 Quad with an 960GT Nvidia on it. The game has no frame drop issues ever!!! It is really smooth. It's true that settings are not cranked up to max but AA is on and textures are at high as well as most settings are at high and medium. (reflections and shadows are at high). I don't get where the negative reviews concerning the graphics come from. I even occasionaly play it on a radeon HD5500 (ok most settings on that machine are on low but still) and have no issues other than the low settings. What machines do you guys use to game?

Fiddly interface, decent game

NMS has been contentious - I'm probably about 20 hours in and enjoying it. Based on other input it may be excessive to buy at full price, but for a sale it's worth it. The early game is a lot of fun, genuine tension, the feeling of a truly alien world, and the slow piecing together of what is going on. The forced slow learning of language is a part of the game I love. It does seem to be at its essence a crafting oriented and a bit grindy, but if that's what you enjoy I would recommend it. Performance is fine on a 780Ti at 1280x1024. My largest criticism would be that the interface is fiddly - the star map is a chore to navigate, there's a lot of keys in use, the flight model is awful, and there's a lot of inventory management due to the limited number of item slots available. As far as I'm aware, animals such as the long necked dinosaur were never implemented in the game, and therefore some of the GOG screenshots are deceptive. Even so, there's a lot of impressive fauna out there; you'll love it the first time a dinosaur like beast saunters past.

Boring

I do not own the game on GOG nor on PC. The price is to steep for this mediocre game. Instead I bought it on PS4 for 12 euro on a sale with PS-plus discount. The game is nothing like the trailers. After visiting 20+ planets and moons, they all look the same except different color palettes. Planets designated as forest planets may have 2 trees in a square mile if you are lucky. And it's boring. It's so boring I can barely push myself to login and try to explore. I really hope the NEXT update will make most of it better. I hope for fun co-op with a friend and hopefully more dangerous creatures on a planet or something. I use the cheap PS4 version just to see if it will eventually be worth it. If it will get better I might pick up 2 copies for PC so i can play with my son or wife or whoever want's to co-op explore. But I still think 70-80 euro is way to steep.

A masterpiece

I've played this game for countless hours on PS4 and have bought it again for my laptop so I can play it on the go. The graphics are not hyper realistic, but stylized so that almost every procedurally generated place you visit looks like a beautiful peice of sci fi art. Learning the languages and stories of the alien races, trading for profit and searching for the coolest ships are some of my favourite activies.
