Not enjoyable.
Terrible interface and controls. Crash when try change resolution. Ankward save system.

Not recommended on Windows 7/later
I tried to play this game on Windows 7, but there are many problems with the controls (keyboard / mouse). It was so distracting that I can hardly enjoy playing it. I had played the original and one DLC when the game was initially released and it was fine. After contacting Obsidian, they made it clear the game was not supported anymore and that I should check with the community. In summary, if you buy this you are on your own, so I can't recommend it. Wait until Beamdog restores it, if they even plan to (not planned for now, to my knowledge).

Base game trash, MotB best game ever
Don't even try to play base game... It's like what 10 year old think 5 year old would like to play. But MotB is amazing. One of the best adventures I ever had.

Its just not what you remember :(
I LOVED this game when I was younger, it was way ahead of its time and modern games still fail to reach quite the same level as enjoyment. Craving nostalisa, I jumped back into this one aaaaaaaaand its a buggy, buggy mess of a game. I dont know if they updated some code, or if it was always this bad and I never minded as a younger person, but this has made the game unplayable and I've asked for a refund. Your character will often Teleport back several steps....or half the map (no joke). Its a known bug and the solutions (third party tools didnt work) The AI and the pathing generally is terrible, with characters getting stuck on nearly every possible object, meaning party members are on the other side of the map when the fight breaks out....assuming you even got to the fight...because the camera controls are so bad you will probably walk everywhere BUT where you are aiming for. Its a real, real shame. Even after several attemps at fixes and mods this remains unplayble. Sadly, memories of this game will be like the Harvest Cup...fond memories of happier times before it all went to s.....

For d&d experts only
I wanted to love this game so much but in the end it is so convoluted with d&d rules I simply couldn't follow it. Move your character during a fight and you will die from a billion roll of opportunity strikes or whatever they are called. Trying to make your hero do more dmg is super confusing, what stats give me better dmg rolls? Too many classes, too many rules, I could barely figure out combat and forget spells. The items made no sense to me either. Just not a good game for those who are into d&d inspired rpgs like dragon age but don't actually play or give a hoot about 3rd edition rules and all that other stuff. Way too confusing and the interface isn't very good either.
