The game itself is, of course, excellent. My problem arises with it's toolkit which is, to be frank, garbage. Perhaps I have high expectations due to the Aurora Toolset, but either way, this one pales in comparison. It has an enormously sharp learning curve, and I suspect elements of it are not working on my computer. Or perhaps the learning curve is simply sharper than I ever could have imagined! One might suggest that I have simply not put enough time into learning it. This is very true. But I will point out that one could figure out the basic workings of the Aurora Toolkit with relative ease. In short - While I have nothing but good things to say about the game itself, I will say the toolset is complete trash when compared to it's predecessor. If you are in it for creation, I suggest you stick with NwN 1.

So, the game itself is great and I've played it before. I'm trying to re-download it form Gog after purchasing it but theres alot of hurdles in the installation process. C:GOG GamesNeverwinter Nights 2 Complete Data NWN2_Materials.zip An error occured while trying to copy a file: The source file is corrupted. So it tells me to have an integrity check but I don't think I've been -given- one by the GoG downloads and I have plenty of disk space aswell, so that cannot be it. Any tips? (Btw, asking here because I didnt find any kind of support forum.)

This game is absolutley fantastic.

Upon the release of Neverwinter Nights (Still my all time favourite D&D game), I grabbed it with both hands as well as its expansions. When the prospect of Neverwinter Nights 2 came to light, I literally counted the days for its release. I struggled to find Mask of The Betrayer in South Africa when it came out t but finally I had the complete set. The single player campaign is good and I like the story and the new elements that was brought in: (Overland travel, your party members can chip into a conversation providing the best answer based on skill, A castle defend strategy game-play later on, some new characters/classes) If you played D&D before with pen and paper and if you enjoyed Baldur's Gate, this is definitely worth a play. The drawback for me: I prefer playing LAN above all else (especially titles like this) and you can certainly do that in NWN 2, but the campaign is not made for more than one human player in the sense that with the start of the campaign there is nothing for the joining human to do. The host will go through the trails and everything while the joining person waits. It does get more suited for 2 players later on in the game. The game is also much more restrictive in where you can go. (More linear than Neverwinter Nights) Not that NWN 1 was a open world. That is why there is no game for me so close to the real pen and paper experience than the first Neverwinter Nights and the many MODs it has. You can also play as the dungeon master. How cool is that! Non the less - this game is a blast and will not dissapoint.

I bought the original when it was released. When they stopped patching the game, I couldnt really play when I got a new computer. So I grabbed it here! I cannot seem to make changes to the graphics settings. Everytime I try, the game either freezes or encounters an error. I resolution needs to be changed, otherwise some of the action buttons don't show up. Hopefully, they will look into this and maybe push out a hotfix. I enjoy the game, and would love to be able to play again!
