Very fun to play!!!

This game is excellent it has the traditional Mortal Kombat button layout and move set. I love those iconic upper cuts it is a blast to play with the logitech f10 controller as you can press the mode button on the controller to switch from anolog stick to the D-pad. I'm also blown away on how this games sounds. Not as pretty as MK11 but I like the retro look and feel

Solid Version, But Few Negatives

This is still my favorite MK game, not just because of how fun it is to play, but also because of how funny it really is, especially nowadays. This PC version is pretty solid, but I hate the fact that you can't save anything in this version, at all. You beat the game, your character's endings in the Kombat Theater aren't unlocked when you exit the game, then boot it back up again. Your high score isn't saved either, if you really care about that, too. Not to mention, the options are hidden. You have to press F2 on your keyboard to access them, as well as mapping your controller (if you're using one), turn on the sound effects and music (at least I have to do that on my laptop), etc. This isn't a deal breaker and again, this is a solid version of a classic game, but I just wish that those issues I mentioned weren't actual issues here.

True classic, still surprisingly good.

To have this old game running like a champ, out of the box on Windows10 is a dream come true. Maybe 3D graphics didn't aged well, but the gameplay itself is absolutely brilliant just as I remember it. Absolutely worth having in your Kollection ;)

Not my favourite, but still a good game

Tough one of my least favourite entries in MK franchise, MK 4 still delivers quite a lot of good stuff. The fight are just like in any MK title, but here they are quite intense and fast-paced. So there's no risk of going back to the sluggish MK1 tempo. Yet MK4 is more true to MK1 than to MK2 or MK3: you have basic moves, special moves and fatalities. Yes, no friendships, mercy, and other distractions. For the first time your surrounding does matter: stones, skulls make for great projectiles that hit hard, as do the weapons fighters can brandish. But then, these make-shift projectiles are easy to avoid, so it's not that easy to cheap shot your way to victory. Though it is possible with good timing. Of course then there's the main difference - the game is 3d, so there are two additional buttons "step in" and "step out", which allow to avoid projectiles quite well. My one objection would be that one must go trough all those tedious steps to unlock Meat, Noob and Goro.

The MK4 Blood Fest is BACK !

I had some good times with this one, as a kid. Now.. if only NetherRealm Studios and WB would port and remaster the PS2 era titles ( Deadly Alliance ; Deception ; Shaolin Monks ; Armageddon ) and possibly MK Trilogy - that would truly quench my thirst. GG
