Controllers Do Work With Proper Setup
I have had zero issues playing these games on my ROG Ally X. I keep seeing negative reviews for controller issues but I found a video online which shows you how to map the buttons from keyboard to Xbox controller and it got these games working the way they should. That said, it took some patience to get these mapped out the way I wanted but once completed you don't have to worry about this step anymore. Lookup "How To Use A Controller For Mortal Kombat 1, 2 & 3 For GOG" on YouTube and the video takes you through the process step by step. If this game had controller support without the required setup I would have given 5 stars. Well worth the $1.50 I spent during the sale.

The Best Kombat games ever on a console
Mortal Kombat is the one game that open the path to combat games. If you haven't play the games, shame on you! get it fast and play it. To this day those games still hold on. Who doesn't know Liu Kang, Raiden, Sub-zero, Scorpion so many iconic characters and with those 3 games you see the evolution of them all in the series. This trilogy is a must-have.

Great classic pack! MK4 missing though!
Always loved the MK franchise, especially in its golden age (1992-1995 --> 1, 2, 3), the very first game is my absolute favorite, also the one I think the 1995 movie is based on. Second part from 1993 is... well yeah... just like the movie... not bad, but not that big boom the first one was. The second was also the one to introduce Shao Kahn, more new characters, more movements and somewhat better graphics, so it was quite decent for its time... The third one had very minor changes in my opinion; except some new characters again, a combo-system and a button to run (against your enemy), which isn't that much to be fond of as an innovation I think. I liked the 4th episode though! Which is also the one I am really missing on GOG to be found! :) The 4th episode was the first to introduce 3D accelerated graphics in a fighting game, 3D models and maps (even if running in software rendered mode). Which was still not enough to compete against the newer Virtua Fighter series (Virtua Fighter 1 and 2 in particular, which were present to date). However compared to 1-2-3 (and Trilogy, which was kind of a MK special edition ;)), the 4th part seemed to be very innovative, starting off with a full motion video, its 3D graphics, changing your position on each map (shifting one-another step backward/forward), picking up stuff from the environment to toss at your enemy and this was also the first episode to introduce weaponal combat (you could also pick up your enemy's weapon). By the way, MK4 (1997) was also the last episode to be released for PC for quite a while (till 2011 I believe as Mortal Kombat (2011) came out...) So please GOG, if possible, add also that one to your store, would be proud to see it available at a decent price! Thanks! :)
