I first played this around 1995 - 1996 and loved it immensely, its a tricky puzzler with multiple things trying to end your game at the beginning, persevere though and learn the ship, and you will triumph..maybe
I was pulled in by the glowing reviews. I like slow moving, atmospheric adventure games very much, but the FMV is inferior to the most basic of graphics in a modern games and also makes movement slow, limited and clunky. Don't get me wrong, I like retro games but this one has aged very badly, IMO.
I completed the first deck and explored a couple of others but just realised it is too slow with too little atmosphere for me to get any enjoyment out of. Be prepared to do a lot of reading and clicking on items that are useless.
Obviously the game has some merit given the overwhelmingly positive reviews, however I think you have to have a lot of nostalgia for this specific genre or publisher to get much out of it.
