Might and Magic® 8: Day of the Destroyer™

Actually, like 10 years ago this was my fist game I bought. And I never regret. My second favorite game of all time. First is Might and Magic 6, acutally.

Though it does take a few attempts to launch, it plays fine without crashing (so far at 40 hours in) at all once in on Windows 11. Played MM6 back in the late 90's but never got to these two. Even better! With 8 versus 7, you have more races to choose from. At start you create one character and then hire,dismiss who you want from the adventure guild to a party of 5! Then build them up as you progress through the game. Also in 8,they made it better with finding skill traders while in cities on the map. That is a big time sink in these games. Back n forth hunting them down in between quests. So it's much better with this one. A little easier in 8 verus 7 too. Dungeons are a bit smaller and less confusing/dragged out in comparison. I'd easily give this and MM7 a 4.5 out of 5! Thanks GOG!

Lots of great elements making this a good sequel to MM7, but late game can become really easy unless you activly choose to not have certain characters in your group.

This one is simply the best one from the might & magic series.

Worse than MM6 and MM7, and feels unfinished. Balancing, if that's important to you, is basically nonexistant. There are Mods out there, but most change up just a little too much for my taste.
