Metro: Last Light Redux

I liked both Metro games, they play and look solid and immerse you enough. When the gameplay opens up it can feel like a nice mashup between Halflife and Stalker, but those moments are often rarer than you'd like - it leans more towards linear sections and after a while the series feels a bit samey. Kind of like the original Bourne trilogy - the movies are fine when you watch them but after a while they kind of blend together and become a bit forgettable. However, the pacing is good and the linear sections serve to drive the player forward (hence again the feeling of Halflife). Last Light can be a bit more action-orientated than the first, and there are a few monster-hiding sections, but other than that it's very similar to the first game. The attention to detail, immersion & unique rudimentary weapons and equipment make up for it's shortcomings though and I'd recommend it.

Cliche-ridden. Ignores the choices from 2033. Too much "modern" gore/shock attempts. Stealth irrelevant. Way too easy. Abysmal english voice acting. Graphics still very good (end of 2020). In general not nearly as good as 2033, but still better than exodus.

Much like the predecessor, this instalment is equally as good at garnering incredible atmoshpere and tension and in one respect it even raises the stakes: the gas mask can become dirty from time to time from mud or gore and needs to be wiped down to clear vision and this addition makes me incredibly happy. It makes that extra step into making you feel like you are really there. If you appreciate immersive games, you mustn't ever disregard the Metro franchise.

Metro: last light, as all the installments of the metro saga, is simply a spectacular and immersive FPS set in a post apocalyptic Russia already perfectly depicted by its its predecessor ( inspired to the homonym book). Overall, the game doesn't go to far from the first entry, just expand both gameplay and story ( which were already damn good). So, it will come without surprises that the game is absolutely worth of buying and playing : getting lost in the russian underground railroads as never been so good ( and scary!).

i played this game for hours and hours but after that i havent played for a while. when i just started the game i see that i cant click on the continue button and i hace wasted all my time but overal a fun game
