chronicles the last year of the war on the European front. Parachute behind
enemy lines during Operation Overlord, halt the German offensive during the
Battle of the Bulge, and engage the German forces as they desperately try
to defend the heart of the Reich, Berlin. In Medal of Honor: Allied
Assault - Breakthrough, you’ll join U.S. Army Sergeant John Baker as fights
in the battle at Kasserine Pass in North Africa, race to capture Messina in
Sicily, and finally repel the German army at the historic battle of Monte
Battaglia in the heart of Italy.
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault War Chest is a treasure trove of historical
battles presented as a gritty World War II action FPS. Call in artillery
and air strikes against the opposing forces and keep your squad away from
the jaws of defeat and despair. Drive various assault vehicles, always
charging onwards to victory. Uncle Sam wants YOU!

Much of the mechanics in the game seem very dated and are surpassed by more recent shooters, and while this game did raise the bar for the genre, it has not aged very well.
Back when games had great and compelling single player, as well as good multi-player. It seems like they forgot was made these games so popular (the single player) and shifted the focus on what gave them a measure of longevity (the multi-player).
If you want a great time and a bunch of hours of fun with good story telling, get this.
The very game in which I started playing multi-player games. The origins of joining clans, clan wars, tactics via e-mail... nostalgia hits You from every corner. I am aware that Counter-Strike is the king, but MoH:AA was his brother. So much sentimental value for me as a gamer.
The single-player is very good, the game is famous for it's glorious D-Day mission Omaha Beach which MoH:AA takes pride in.
Please, in these modern times FPS are dull, short and desperately trying to buy customers with multiplayer. Back in the day... MoH:AA ruled the internet...
This is easily the best online FPS game i've ever played, and i've played a lot of them over the years - though admittedly the community has diminished, so it would be wrong of me to suggest that someone picking up the game for the first time today would have the same wonderful experiences i've had over the past decade.
There's still fun to be had though if you find the right servers (multiplayer servers are still accessible via the regular CD version of the game, so i'm not sure why they wouldn't be via GoG's digital version).
The single-player portion of the game hasn't aged well mostly due to simplistic AI, but it's still kind of fun if you can get the game cheap.
I have always enjoyed these games! I bought this package years ago and it's been unforgettable! Their accurate historical moments are great and as a Norwegian I especially fancy the Trondheim maps! :)
Damn it's cheap right now.
