Good game, but not a very good remaster

In regard of the game. I really like it. I played it on the hard difficulty, with the option of a simulate the car handling. In regards of driving + shooting mechanics, I didn't love them, I justo tolerate them. In regards of the shooting, I really prefer the Mafia 1 DE mechanics, they feel way more comfortable. Aside from that I really like them. Now abaout the story, there are 15 chapters (at least in the main game) and from chapter 1 to 10, I really enjoy the story, bur from 11 to 15, I really thinks that its get very rushed. Now talking about the remaster... I didn't see the bugs that a lot of people have mention, but I have suffer from a lot of them. As far as I know, this (inluding the original console version) are the same version that before, with the same bugs and features, so you can play this I suppose. But I don't think this is a good port.

Mafia II classic: Dont wast your money and time

Buggy and repetitive. Mission are always the same, the history is something that you expect, enemies snipe you with shotguns from really far away, its just annoying and repetitive to make the missions over and over again because you died from a shotgun sniper, and there is no user save, only the game saves when you arrive at a certain point, which is generally illogical and will make you redo things over and over again since its too far away from the last save, and the probability of been sniped by a shotgun is too high.

It's mostly fun

Major improvement over the Mafia I system, for sure. A lot smoother controls and gorgeous graphics. There are some glitches though, but my overall experience was not ruined or anything. I don't why get all the complaints here. Gameplay-wise, although the police system is very smart, it's unrealistic how there's a cop car in every corner. And the gunfights defy belief in that the amount of bad guys is just wave after wave of guys with Thompsons that would make any crime massacre in history look like a street mugging. The game would be less arcade-ish if they made you less of a damage sponge while decreasing the amount of bad guys significantly. That's pretty much the same beef I had with LA Noire's combat too. It's just insane. By the way, gameplay-wise Mafia II and LA Noire are very much the same, and also both set in post-war America. While in LA Noire you're a detective, In Mafia II you are obviously the bad guy going GTA.

Mafia 2 is magnificent

I'd never played it before, or even heard much about it, but I decided to give it a try, and wow, it was a pleasant surprise. The story was very interesting and entertaining, with great missions and a good background. I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it, even though I wasn't a fan before. I should clarify that I played the classic version because the definitive one doesn't work on my computer.
