I just wish it wasn't so happy to sit in another game's shadow, and made more of the few fresh mechanisms that might distinguish it and move the genre forwards. Instead, it hews so closely to a proven template that it's basically a pretty good action-adventure by default. Yet as the game clock ticked towards 20 hours and beyond, I could never quite shake the feeling that I'd still rather be failing in Dark Souls than succeeding in Lords of the Fallen.

Combat is too clunky
Movement and combat are too clunky to keep playing it for me personally. I have tried a couple of times but I just cant get beyond the clunk... shame as there are other things about it that I like such as the ambience and feel. The problem is, with souls like games the combat is a critically important thing and if that is not good then the game isn't going to be fun either.

Great game, a tad to short
I'm not sure why anyone would hate on this game. Comparing it to dark souls is dumb, go play it then and leave orher games to those who can appreciate the effort put into making a game like this for what it is rather than complain about what it isn't. Story line and gameplay, secret boss weapon drops, etc. Considering this game wasn't meant to be a full game but a test to see the level of interest and any changes needed before releasing the other version it is a great game, i have both and enjoy this one more honestly my only complaint is I it wasn't a longer game

I get 3D motion sickness so badly
that I can't play this game for more than 10 minutes straight. I think the screen shaking in almost every scene - walking and swaying, running and swaying, attacking and swaying - was a big failing of this game.
