"Lilly has me mesmerized! What a lusciously charming and mysterious adventure, so ingeniously and elegantly crafted." -Rand Miller co-creator of Myst and Riven
It's a shame the gameplay is so horrid, as the artwork and music are genuinely great. Sadly, even at it's short playtime of 1-2 hours, the obtuse, illogical and frustrating puzzle design make this game unbearable.
The game is good looking with an interesting character design. The time-flip system is well designed and interesting. the story is cute and funny.
On the other hand...
Some animations are a bit slow when for repetitive actions.
The game is too short for the price.
The story is too linear.
The end seems to be a bit trucated.
Worth playing if purchased on discount.
This childish adventure bring us the peaceful memories of childhood, though it's end so sudden you gonna search for continue button. To me the game very similar to Machinarium - considering its lenght, unfortunately. THe game itself very plain, it's graphic stick to simple animation, static background most of the time, thou' fits in perfectly. Story: I tend not to care for because 1. not really touched me, 2. without understanding its a beautiful piece.
First and last, this game a beautiful work, but for 8 € it's a very short adventure.
A its core, this game is a beautiful casual puzzle adventure game.
Good soundtrack, good art, easy puzzles, nice story. It has everything that a casual gamer would like in a game.
However...
It is incomplete. That's it.
Moreover: it is too damn expensive for a unfinished game.
Do you want to play a game that wasn't finished? Do you want to end a game in a confusing cliffhanger that does not finishes the story? So this game is for you. Speaking for myself: this game pissed me off.
I was expecting something really really short (and that is why I decided to play it in the first place) so it felt longer than I had hoped for! The game is very cute, and while the puzzles are not very logical, there are some nice ideas. The graphics, the music and the animation is really pretty. While the story is very basic, the atmosphere it creates can be a nice escape for 2-4 hours. I bought it while it was on sales (for a euro or so), so it felt very reasonably priced. However the length does not justify the full price, despite the fact that the developers have put a lot of love in it.
It looses 1 star from the ending that was not very satisfying, and the story that was a bit too underdeveloped.
