Hey ladies, I’m back in business! My new adventure, Leisure Suit Larry - Wet Dreams Don’t Dry, takes me – whatever the route or twist of fate – from the end of the ’80s directly into the 21st century and wow, how the world has changed! While my view of the world and women from way back in the 1980s collides with modern reality harder than the breasts of a lusciously stacked blonde jogging along a beach, I’m all set to date my way across the modern world!
In a “point & click” adventure I’d call typical for the genre we mutually experience how I fall head-over-heels in love with Faith, the hot-to-trot assistant to the boss at Prune, a technology enterprise successful worldwide. Since even dating is done digitally nowadays, the first thing I have to do is to work on my score at Timber, the totally hip, can’t-get-anywhere-without-it dating app where I date women, satisfy their needs, and accordingly pick up points for my Timber profile. And whenever I get a chance in between, always briefly check out a few new bikini pix at Instacrap – the 21st century is gnarly smill!
Leisure Suit Larry is coming in the 21st century – and no, there’s no word missing here
Explore a lovingly designed, non-linear game world set in the modern world with over 30 handdrawn venues
Use “Timber”, the ingame app, along with an innovative dating mechanism to date women, consequently improve your score at Timber, and ultimately clear the way to get to Faith, the women of your dreams
Solve true-blue puzzles and interact with over 30 handdrawn characters

I didn't play the old Larry games (definitely too young for that ^^). So I am rating this simply as a "stand alone" game and won't compare it to the older games.
It made me laugh a lot.
It is really silly and cheesy - in a good way.
The puzzles are fairly easy, so if you are looking for a adventure that twists your brain that game isn't for you.
I like the comic graphics and the -again- really cheesy background music.
This game is for you if you like:
- adventures similar to deponia
- silly penis jokes
- a lot of nerd culture references.
Reading the other comments, this game is not for you if you expect a copy of the Larry-Games from the 90s.
This is a mediocre entry in the LSL game list. They at least TRIED where two other titles in LSL didn't even bother. I know writing an adventure game is not easy. But they made a couple jokes of the absolute random weird things you have to do in adventure games, but than THEY keep doing it. Along with, throughout the story they constantly dump you off with little to no clue what your supposed to do next. And almost every quest is yet another grocery list. In a MMORPG you would call it lazy game design. Grocery getter missions in a adventure game is sub-par. I don't call going to the store an adventure.
The humor is fair. Most of the content will mildly amuse, and there is as many chuckles as there is totally failed to deliver jokes.
To summarize, this is the first LSL game that I have not finished. In order to finish it I would need to follow constantly a walk-through.. at which point why bother with the game and just read the walk-through. BUT i'm not feeling ripped off. I did get a few minutes of entertainment, but I would rather do something else than to finish this game.
tl;dr: passable point-and-click adventure game, a little over 10 hours including the epilogue chapter. The logic of some puzzles is definitely a bit of a stretch, but it's to be expected in the genre. I almost gave the game 2 stars because of the groanworthy puns on names of celebrities and popular products or services.
More detailed opinion:
I appreciate the sleazier-than-life aesthetic, with suggestive shapes, litter and gooey substances everywhere. The art-style may be rather simplistic but at least it's striking and consistent with the mood. The writing in the game was more miss than hit for me, to the point where I actually considered giving the game a 2-star rating. It put me in mind of the weaker aspects of the "social commentary" type of humour/parody in GTA4 and 5. The writing is even more blunt and overreliant on bad puns, in this game's case mostly on names of celebrities and popular products or services (Freddy Quicksilver, PiPhone, Instacrap, Timber, Unter, etc.)
I was looking forward to play this game, even if it had some mixed reviews. But I usually don't give a **** about "this is not MY Larry. Every sequen s***" reviews.
But really, with the game coming from a land that's so proud of it's comedy culture I expected some better script writing. Dammit, even public TV shows there have better writing.
The game has it's moments, like the first half of the Piphone presentation. And for a while it DID feal like the old Larry games, but more often than not I found myself asking myself: Who of them thought this line/pun/gag/joke to be funny? And why didn't the others tell him/her, that he/she was wrong?
It could have been so good to have a dinosaur from the 80s walking through the modern world, but they limited that to some bad word plays. If you want to know how it's done right, go and watch Austin Powers.
The gameplay is ok, I found the idea good, that for example to find the guitar you have to ask your way around to trace it's way.
The whole Tinder thing is just plain annoying (and except for maybe 5 or 6 entries they are NOT funny). If the entries were at least sorted you would know when you have seen everything.
Almost every item gets consumed once you use it. Why do you lose a coin if you use it to unscrew some screws?
On the tecnical side ... try showing someone a certain doll ... do you see that somewhere on the screen while handing it over? No? That's why you hardly ever see anything on the screen while using it or handing it over. That's just lazy.
Tinder is bugged, always opens with the wrong page. It looks as if page 2 is active, but it really is page 1, so you have to click on the page 2 button to go on.
Once at the beginning it happened that Larry was on the wrong location on the screen, so everything he interacted with was misplaced. But that happened only once.
OK, so they tried. It's a "ok" game, but sadly not more.
This was an okay little game. I enjoyed the sexual puns and the making fun of our current society, even tough I did find the humor a bit too juvenile at times. It was fun to play Larry again in a classic point-and-click fashion and the voice acting (aside from Larry himself) was pretty well done. Better, in fact, than in a AAA game like Skyrim.
That being said, I absolutely hated Larry's over the top silly voice. I understand this was done deliberately, but I just hated it. And the puzzles in this game, like in most adventure games, were very bad. The usual moon logic clicking-on-everything-until-it-works fare is present here, although towards the end of the game things get incredible easy.
Also bad was the story. Why is there even a story here in the first place? If it was just Larry trying to get laid it would have been better because the overarching story was poorly done and made no sense at all.
As far as it's adult nature goes, it was all very tame. Larry games in the past have been raunchier and I think this could have been a little more raunchy as well. Also the cartoon style of the ladies didn't really making things more 'erotic'. In fact the girls in the original "Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards" actually looked more appealing.
I would only recommend this game for nostalgic reasons and some fun (sexual) humor. As far as gameplay is concerned it fails and it's ultimately an entirely forgettable little game.
