The Legend of Kyrandia: Malcolm's Revenge (Book Three)

First of all I don't like graphics. It's not nice pixelart as in book 1 and 2, it's 3d but with poor models so whole game looks ugly, items are not visible in the background and objects doesn't make sense (like transporter). And puzzles are also not that straigtforward and logical as in book 1 and 2. I was able to finish first 2 games without walktrough, but not sure if it's possible with this game. The biggest issue is, that you do not know what's your goal. Example - in the 2nd book right at the beginning you were trying to find the gold for fierry. In this game you appear in the 1st screen and you just go through screens but not sure what to do. After some time, you gt the idea that you should get out of the isle, but still don't know why.

Ok, this game is ok, not the best Kyrandia game (1 and 2 are way better than this!) but there's some nice puzzles and good jokes. But in this GOG version the mouse cursor is too fast, so while I was playing I selected what I didn't want to select a lot of times... so then I just decided to give up playing. It would be good to fix that :)

I remember this game like the back of my hand. Before the internet was really accessable I would spend hours as a kid trying to figure out what I had to do in the game. Now, after many years and many walkthroughs I can complete it in under 2 hours and I still think its great. Wish they made more.

Even though I enjoy the character of Malcolm, the puzzles are too far out there, and there's a lot of rince and repeat going on with the Jungle and the Tic Tac Toe, the prison etc. The early 90's 3D graphics though not bad are a step back from the warmer and more atmospheric tones of its predecessors. Thankfully the characters are still animated in 2D, which helps. All in all it is not a bad game and it has its moments, but for me it just is inferior to the other 2 Kyrandian titles. The end credits are awesome though.
