Impressive

I was looking for a horror game and tought this wouldnt be my cup of tea. Ive never been much of a puzzle solver and I didnt expect this game to be that great. But the game did suprise me and I enjoyed playing the first episode. The settings is very intresting and mystic. The soundtrack is great and the general feeling of the game is something different from what I usually enjoy, so I recommend anyone to try this game since its free to do on their website.

Short and sweet

A set of four short, atmospheric adventures. The upsides are the excellent story telling, mood, and audio canvas. The downsides are a bit of pixel hunting, a few less than optimally clued puzzles, and a little overly linear structure. Also be aware that this first "season" of four adventures does not really find a conclusion to the storyline of any real sort. I enjoyed these enough to buy them here and then *also* back the next copy on their website, so I'm a fan.

A Study in Lovecraftian Atmosphere

Many have used Lovecraft as an influence in various media but few have succeeded on this level. The story seems like it could have been a lost work of Lovecraft himself. The game follows the unsettling investigations of a man named Jeremiah into the bizarre suicide of a a close friend. The thrilling, supernatural mystery narrative will have you riveted from the game's intro and will keep you hooked until its conclusion, which, sadly, arrives all too soon. The wonderfully written story is bolstered by a beautifully haunting soundtrack and surprisingly well-implemented retro visuals. My only complaint is that Season 2 isn't here yet. Get on it, guys!

An Unforgettable, Pixelated Masterpiece

This game is truly spectacular. The story of the game is undeniably well written, no doubt about that. It's a twist between depressing and psychological horror. Some people might complain about the 8-bit graphics, but they are splendid and work well with the game. I'm not for sure if this game would've been amazing without the pixelated graphics. I mean, there are scripted sequences in the game, and with these graphics, they simply astonish my nostalgia. There are light effects, and even with these low-resolution graphics, the game basically works on anything. I have a laptop that is complete junk, and the fact that this game worked flawlessly without any lag surprises me. The puzzles and gameplay are quite simple. Usually you mix items with the mouse, and click on everything! You will read interesting letters, notes, etc. on locations that support the story. This edition of the game includes a better soundtrack, and extras which are worth watching, despite them being short. The thing that blew me away about this game, however, was the fact that I hate point-and-click games. I thought the game looked good, and bought it, and I was correct. I recommend this game for anybody who has the time to deal with these simple puzzles. I didn't even have to look up a walkthrough to solve them! This is truly a masterpiece, no matter what they say. I will treasure it always in my heart, and you should too.

Rough diamond

I am bad at adventure games. But I like to play them. Last Door is great in atmosphere and gameplay, graphically not so, but the pixelated graphics add to the game in some way. SPOILERS But when for no logical reason I have to kill a crow with a hammer, feed a dead crow to a cat, use a rosary to keep a window open, and find a cat in a basement behind a wall to find a knife to use to open a stuffed lynx's mouth, WHICH YOU COULD HAVE DONE WITH THE HAMMER. Jesus. I am at a loss. What the Fhtagn were the developers thinking? Absurd.
