Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel is a gripping roguelike, horde-survivor game with top-notch graphics. Choose one of the damned heroes and attempt to pass the Gods' test by fighting your way through waves of mythical adversaries.

 

If you succeed in all the trials, you will become the chosen Jotunnslayer.

Engage in adrenaline-fueled battles, fighting off endless waves of enemies as you strive to survive. Complete various objectives, defeat the final boss, and earn the ultimate prizes. 
 

 

 

Take on challenging missions during each run to test your skills and enrich your journey through the Nine Worlds.These quests may involve completing specific objectives or overcoming additional obstacles as you battle relentless enemies on your way to the final challenge. 

 

Improve your abilities with meta-progression systems that offer unlockable perks, in-game skills, or upgrades. As you progress further, you'll gain access to new abilities, weapons, and bonuses that allow you to customize your playstyle and improve your chances of survival.

Excellent but...

The idea has been executed to the point... A true Viking mythology based game with many potentials.... Soundtrack absoloutely fantastic. Models and animation obvisously would not say brith taking but they are up there. Skill....they deliver what you would expect. I want to sit down, ignore life and finish this game, not now but yesterday. But..... So many crashes....upon many crashes. At least on my system. But I have to say I play more demanding games and there from none to on crash in a month.... This game for now crashes like a minute. Do not get discourage though. I am sure in the future this will get fixed. Until then....Slay Ever Moth... Fracker Again and Again and Again.... I wish for more gory and bloody stuff though...but that's just me (Please excuse my mistakes)

Good but can be much better

Everything about this game is perfect-limited map,quest system,norse mythology settings.However,banish and reroll mechanics is what ruins it for me.I hate that randomization aspect of a game in vampire survivors and i hate it here.Let's say i wanna play berserker with Freya powers every time,sometimes i can't do that.If they remove banish and reroll system and give player freedom to play whatever he wants from the start it would be much better.I give it 4 stars because game is beatiful and have potential and still fun to play in early access.

Could be better

I am mixed about this "roguelite" game (version1.01) the good thing: + Visually Very good + Nordic mythology + respécialisation at any time for characters or divinity + Gamepad working for this game The bad thing: - Only 6 charcater and 8 divinity in total, unlocked as you unlock new maps - Only 5 map with different diffciculty - Only 2 outfit per character, the two other are in dlc for 5€ each - The default weapons of each characters are the best no need to unlock more - Difficulty: totally Unbalanced, difficulty to hard at begining even frustrating, after spending ressource it become extremly boring to much easy even in hard difficulty. in term of ranking "rogue lite" game: 1 - Vampire Survivors 4.5/5 2- Soulstone Survivors/Hall of Torments (diablo like) 4/5 3 - Jotunnslayer Hordes of Hel 3/5

great game

I played this on the xbox ally at 15 w /medium settings and it runs great. Its a great pick up & play game. I keep wanting to do another run so it does keep you engage like some games in this genre.
