Jagged Alliance

If you love turn based strategy games with a few RPG like elements in them, then this is the game for you. With a colorful cast of mercs that have distinct personalities to choose from, an island crawling with henchmen with itchy trigger fingers and plenty of weapons, armors and items to choose, Jagged Alliance never runs out of surprises. The game might be a little hard at first, but you will eventually get the hang of the turn based combat along with taking care of your mercs to make sure they stay in tip top shape and also protect the parts of Metavira island you free from the hands of Santino. The only question remains..... Can you free the entire island, stop Santino and bring hope to thousands of sick children with the fellow sap from the trees that only exist on Metavira? Only one way to find out and that is to play Jagged Alliance.

Almost 30 years since the release and this game still is one of the best. I've played it through more times than I care to remember and always come back for more. Don't let the poor graphics fool you. It's outdated. Still, the playability is fantastic and the storyline is great, not too linear. Wish there were more direct sequels to this than Deadly Games. JA2 was more complex and not so fun imho. If you like turn-based RPG's then you will love this. The game is almost free so grab it now! You won't be disappointed.

One of the best from old game selection. I spent ages playing it, yet i still hunger for more!!! If you are keen on trying classics dont miss this one for sure =D

Jagged Alliance is a solid strategy game that oozes personality. While games like X-com or Command & Conquer are all about base management and upgrading generic troops, Jagged Alliance focuses on characterisation and storyline. Each Merc has its own personality, backstory, quirks and fully voiced quotes. Jagged Alliance aims to be simplier and streamlined than other turn based games and that works in its favour although those expecting complicated strategy of X-com will be disappointed. Action moves much faster as each sector is small and its easier to get into the game and enjoy capturing sectors rather than spending time worrying about cash flow, research and base management. It is a classic for its time and still quite playable even today despite limitations such as small squad size. Be warned however, the game can be unforgiving at times and you might need to consult a strategy guide for more effective ways of tackling certain sectors.

Jagged Alliance series (1-2-wildfire) are best games ı've ever played. Jagged Alliance 2 has mac os support. Please make JA 1 mac os support. İ bought this game and i was waiting mac os version.
