Iron Harvest Deluxe Edition

Iron Harvest is a one of those games that mismatches good ideas with stale execution. I really like the steampunk, alternative history approach that it takes with WWI. The graphics look good, the music is catchy, and the mech are, of course, an original addition. However, the game is more or less a carbon copy of Company of Heroe (CoH) and really adds nothing new to the formula. The campaign gets old fast, even though it does show you how to play the game. The mech warfare is entertaining for a while, until you realize that all of the explosions really do not add up to fun gameplay or a compelling storyline. Skirmish is okay, but it does nothing that CoH did not do almost 20 years ago. Other than a few hours of seeing what the mechs can do, there's nothing to justify keeping this on your hard drive for more than an afternoon. Hard pass.

This is a great game with lots of content, great story and nice graphics. I recommend it wholeheartedly. Although the movement of the units is annoying. I hope the developers can fix that.

Not what i was expecting tbh,id seen to various playthroughs n tidbits on ytube etc and thought i try it. But tbh its not much fun after a few play's and skirmish is bland and i struggled with the apparent lack of differing units,ending up using artillery and macjhinegunners and engineers for pretty much the entire game. the rest were useless in pretty much any configuration and i simply couldnt be bothered playing anymore after a total of about 5 hours,spread over a week. then again its a long time since i played red alerts,command n conquer etc etc so it might be me thats grown out of these so called strategy games,dont know,but no way is this worth £60+,,,,,,£15 at the most imo....

I was afraid about how this run would run on my new laptop and I'm surprised it's going really well! The game when we talk about gameplay is pretty similar to Company of Heroes and I really like that! the matches can be quick and fun to play and the factions are short but well made. I really hope we can get more factions because the universe where it take places have more factions (japanese, British, French, Nordics, Cossacks) so there's a big potential here for the future. Please buy and play this game if you love RTS, I'm sure you gonna love it
