Decent but with tec issues
Pretty conventional old-school fps shooter with the retro visuals. The shooting is basic, the guns are very generic, the Duke Nukem type of cheese onliners are pretty meh and the enemy types are a few and repeating. The shooting scenarios stay pretty much the same most of the time, but at least the pacing is fast. There is at least one good game idea: the stun baton. These are not really a problem, but I could not play the game completely because of the annoying technical issues. Launching the Linux version of the game requires libFLAC.so.8 which is missing from the game directory, the sounds get cracking too often after playing a while, and the game gets seriously lagging in the first two boss fights inexplicably.

You can stop hating on this game now.
I love this game. It feels like a Duke Nukem 3D sequel that we should have gotten instead of Duke Nukem Forever. If I would have bought this before the censorship controversy I would not have refunded it. Especially if I had bought it here, just keep a backup of the offline installer and you'd have the uncensored version forever, but now that it's not going to be censored go ahead and buy it. It's great. I've only played around 80 mins so far, but I can tell it's going to be my favorite game of this year. If you love classic shooters like Duke 3D, Blood, Doom, Quake, or Unreal, you'll really enjoy this one. You can even set it to classic mode in the display settings and it even looks like Duke 3D (my only gripe about that is that it doesn't change the aspect ration to 4:3, but that might just be my monitor).

Waiting for that sweet sweet expansion!!
Loved every second of Ion Fury!!! Feels like a truth homage to those 90s classics that make me so happy in their time, it's a work of love for the ganre, I you grown up in the 90s this is a must buy, if you are form a new generation this is the shooter that will take you to the past and let you experience the golden age of boomer shooters!!! PS: VoidPoint, hurry up with that expansion, the 90s kids are old already hahaha
