IL-2 Sturmovik™: 1946

By modern standards, naturally this game seems slightly dated. But ONLY slightly. I own the latest version of MS Flight Sim X, and this game easily matches up to that more modern, regularly patched up engine. If you have ANY interest in WWII flight combat sims, owning this one is like automatic. Flight games are a little to difficult for my tastes frankly, and having tried them out pretty intensely this summer, I think I'm probably gonna let them slide back onto the back burner (maybe my joystick is shite?). But even so, I definitely feel that this was money well spent. If I ever have an urge to fly an old classic WWII era plane, I can always fire it up and have some fun! Definitely worth it!

I don't know why, but this game made me obsessed with planes. Before this i thought they were cool and all, but this just made me snap. The weird and wonderful planes i was flying, "i want to know more". And since then, I love planes more than anything. Its just so simple but so fun just fooling around with the quick match, like you in a Me-262 (a jet fighter) vs 16 biplanes. This isn't the best of reviews because I'm focusing on my opinion and me, But then why are you looking at this section? Its full of opinions; About a fantastic game.

I play this all the time. I find it challenging and fun and real like. I give it a 5 Star rating.
