The first thing that will strike you is Hotline Miami's style. From the music to the color pallet, and artwork. The second thing, will be the intense gameplay. This game is what your looking for, believe me.

I bought this game as part of a bundle without really having much hope for it. After playing a few levels, I was absolutely engaged. HOTLINE MIAMI captures the essence of what makes a game truly great: rhythm. It's fast, it has simple controls, and almost no lag due to death (you can restart immediately), yet it is incredibly complex and engaging. It will capture you immediately and force to play the same level over and over at breakneck pace to try and solve it. It's one of the best incarnations of arcade-ness I've ever played, a perfectly oiled puzzle of tactic and reflexes that requires absolute precision to be solved. The amazing music and the gloomy atmosphere only add to the enjoyment. A masterpiece.

A predatory murder simulator where lightening fast and highly precise skills are needed to survive with little-to-no margin for error. This game is everything you heard and more. The heart-pounding thrill of systemically murdering thugs while trying not to be murdered yourself keeps you on your toes, for one mistake and it's all over. It's brutal, it's gory and you'll feel every single bit of it.

Dammit this was fun! The controls are a bit weird at first, but don't take long to get used to. You'll be efficiently crackin melons in no time. Great retro styled graphics with satisfying death animations...and quite detailed! Weird, gritty storyline that kept me playing to find out what the hell was going on... Definitely worth the download! Highly Recommended!

Great game indeed. It has some minor flaws, like the enemies not hearing some gunshots sometimes, but great in general and the top down perspective makes hard to tell whether or not something is blocking the enemy's view (and shoots). I'm giving it 4 starts instead of 5 simple because I'm sick of this retro look so common among indie titles. Give ,e cool HD graphics and it's a 5 out of 5 for me. BTW: The music is amazing. Sometimes I loos levels on purpose, so to play it again and keep listening the music.
