Turn Based + Real Time
While exploring the overworld and developing your town and army are both turn-based, giving you time to think and plan out your next moves, in battles your units will do the best to fight for themselves in real time - all hundreds of them. Cast spells and give attack orders to swing the tide of battle - or just sit back and watch as your might unfolds.
Procedural Generation
Hero's Hour brings impactful procedural generation to the strategy game formula, ensuring that every time you play, there will be new areas to explore and strange buildings to enhance your hero or army. Seek out obelisks to start you on small procedural quests that send you around the world. You won't even be able to use the same build order each time you play the same faction.

A very simple little game in the style of the old Heroes of Might and Magic series.
I really like how each hero is unique and while I certainly haven't seen more than a portion of the content so far I can say its good.
I captured what I thought was a town but it turned out to be a sort of neutral demi-town? It gives an advantage to every fight my heroes get into now by giving a summoning portal that spits out some demons every so often.
The combat isn't terribly strategic at times, but the spells feel good and watching all the units dance around smacking each other is fun enough as is.
Overall a very cute little game, I expect I'll be playing a lot of it over the new year
I love the Heroes series up until 6. This game captures the best parts of those games while adding a lot more factions and units. The combat took some getting used to, but there is a good amount of strategy to it after you play some skirmishes and battles. For under $20 this was great value with a ton of replayability.
