Description
The spectre of war is looming over the world of Atlans. The young and courageous Elven ranger, Elhant, must gather an army to prevent his people from being damned by bloodshed and conflict. Elhant will encounter love, hatred, friendship, and betrayal; he will have to survive through blood-shedding clashes and massive battles. Our hero will not fight alone as he is assisted by Lana, the daughter of the elven supreme commander, and her Druid army. Join them as they travel the land of Atlans and fight to save themselves and their people from the power-hungry Necros Horron and his undead horde.
Heroes of Annihilated Empires is a seamless blend of RTS and RPG gameplay in a breathtaking fanstasy world, filled to the brim with elves, dragons, dwarves and ents. On the RTS side, you must build a base, gather resources, and gather an army. good start of a cancelled trilogy
it was planned as a trilogy but, only the first game was released. the game is mostly solid but, i have yet to win. the lack of a human faction is a curiosity. if the rest of the trilogy had not been cancelled, maybe it had scored better but, now it is just a cancelled and abandoned game.

I love it, it is terrible
An "honest" review would be a 3 stars. Sadly, I am being actually HONEST. I love this stupid game too much. It is not that good. It is unfinished. There are 6 songs that repeat ad nauseum, transport ships travel at a snails pace. The campaign is... long -ish. The protagonist is a racist. The cutscenes are broken, like, totally broken, just look them up on Youtube. The skirmish mode is... alright? It is so unfinished. And yet... I love it. I return to it. It sticks in my mind. And the fact that it is unfinished kills me.

Still a great RTS after so many years
A classic RTS thats stood the test of time. Runs in a Windows compatibility mode already set by GOG installer, so nothing further to configure. Just download and go.
