Description
Hellpoint is a dark and challenging action RPG set in a heavily atmospheric sci-fi universe where the line between science and occultism is blurred.
Once a pinnacle of human achievement, the Irid Novo space station has fallen. Its ruins are now overrun by cruel interdimensional entities acting as puppets of the malevolent Cosmic Gods.
You have been created by the Author, organically printed on Irid Novo and sent on a mission to find out the unholy series of events that led to the catastrophic incident known as the Merge.

Unbalanced with no sense of progress
I can accept a difficult game if it gives me a chance to fight stronger opponents using precise timing (Assassins Creed) and accuracy (Butcher) or lets me slowly level up (TitanQuest), but Hellpoint gives none of that. It's only about equipping the right items because the shield is basically useless by not protecting against stun attacks and moving costs so much stamina that it's never actually useful in combat. All that's left is repeated slashing only to loose all experience points when you get crushed by the first boss. A mobile game is like repeatedly pressing a button to level up with each press. Hellpoint is like repeatedly pressing a button while nothing ever happens.

Needs minus stars, not deserving even 1
I got this for free or I'd be very angry. Even free I'm angry to have wasted time on it and disk space. The character animation is weird, like he's always stomping along. The controls are just awful. Clearly very console-centric. Weird save file bug that locked game, wow. I don't think I can find anything at-all good to say about it. I'm amazed it gets even the ratings it does get, some People do seem to enjoy bad things just because they are bad. Seems to make them feel "tough" that whole "grin and bear it" "philosophy"?

Another Souls-clone
I don't know. For every thing I feel like this game does better than any From Soft Souls game, it then goes and does something worse. I'll be frank - I hate the Souls formula, I hate the gameplay, I hate the leveling, I hate the intentional bad camera and controls. Give me a million Jedi Outcast, Enclave, Ninja Gaiden reboot, DMC-like third person action games any day over more Souls clone games, PLEASE.

Starts good and fun, ends so incredibly poorly that it nullifies everything good it had going for it. Don´t bother.
