Cop Out, Over rated. More of a Tech demo
This game is hugely over rated. The game is centered around 'mental health'. Which is a very unique focus for a video game. The problem is the game has nothing to say about mental health. We know our protagonist has issues, but nothing is done aside from mentioning it, thus that portion of the story/game could be entirely removed and it would have no effect overall. Aside from the lacklustre depth of the above story issue, the remainder of the game falls flat as well. Gameplay consists of walking around at a slow pace (you can slightly speed up movement) and looking at runes, which you then have to locate within the world. IE: A shadow might be in the shape of a rune you need. You then have the elementary combat which becomes more of an annoyance the more you experience it. When critics claim a game as ART I am always leery. This is another example, the 'art' of the game is so superficial, it really made no impact at all to me. The game is gorgeous to look at and has some excellent sound design.

An experience not to be missed
This game is not so much a game but an experience not to be missed. The story telling is great, the combat fast, hard and fun. The last time I played a game that made me feel so engrossed and disturbed was the original Max Payne. Hellblade is a game that is unique in todays gaming platform. If you have not played it yet, you owe it to yourself to spend the 9 to 10 Hours to play through the game.

Simply a Must
Hellbalde: Senua's Sacrifice get so many things right. The combat is intuitive and fittingly challenging and the puzzles are done in a very clever and creative way, though they can be a bit tedious at times. The story is well written and immersive and the way it's told and presented to the palyer is simply incredible. In addition, I can't listen to the soundtrack without getting goosebumps. You should definetly give this game a go, especially if you want something a bit different.
