Hard West

Too big a game to get from GOG. Doesn't come with steam key. I don't want to wait 24 hours to download this shit from GOG servers, guess I'm buying it from steam as well.

This is not a rant, it's a warning. The game "Hard West" goes from dark, to darker, then drops into a deepening chasm of the occult and satanic ritual. It also incorporates tobacco, booze, drug use, sorcery, witchcraft, shamanism, and outright satanic rites which include human sacrifices. The art, graphics, and game play were very enjoyable, but the fun petered away when npc's turned into demon princes, and the few decent npc's in the game were either persecuted, or murdered by you the player to progress or complete the story/episode. I could not in good concience bring myself to finish a game that encourged my character, me as a player, or both to compromise faith, values (on such a deep level), or conviction.

In this game player is required to sell the soul to a devil and kill people at devil's command.

Game developers should concentrate on making playable games first and promoting social agenda propaganda second. You're not little lost boys, waiting for Peter Pan to return and take you back to NeverNever Land. Time to grow up.

- last century graphics - tiny maps - sometimes pure text adventure - ridiculous combat system (devs should play Fallout 1+2, Jagged Alliance 2 or X-COM 1-3 to learn how to manage turnbased combat with firearms in an acceptable manner) etc etc etc game not recommended
