FREE TO PLAY THAT’S WORTH YOUR TIME
A fair and fun progression system turns the effort of building a competitive collection of cards into pure pleasure — simply collect new cards to build decks with as you play GWENT; no strings attached.
STUNNING, ALL ACROSS THE BOARD
Beautiful, hand-drawn art and mesmerizing visual effects breathe life into every card, battle and battlefield, making GWENT fun to play and every duel a joy to watch.
SKILL BEATS LUCK
Crush the enemy with brute strength or outsmart them with clever tricks — no matter your deck, GWENT’s unique round-based gameplay opens up a world of strategic possibilities to play with when fighting for victory.
MORE THAN ONE WAY TO PLAY
Whether it’s a quick online game against a friend, a highly competitive PvP challenge, or something new and wildly adventurous like the Arena, GWENT’s selection of game modes has got you covered.
EASILY SATISFYING, ANYTHING BUT EASY
Sling cards from your deck across two tactically distinct rows — melee and ranged. Gather more points in the duel against your opponent to win a round. Win two out of three rounds to win the battle. It won’t be easy, but no one said it should be.
NO HOLDING BACK, NO HOLDING HANDS
You start with 10 cards from your deck in hand, able to play each card right from the start. It’s up to you to open the game with your strongest unit, or save the best for later in the fight. How will your deck look and what will your strategy be?
The game requires an online connection to play and offers optional in-game purchases.
I've played a few CCG's in my time, but none have been as good as Gwent, not even close! The gameplay itself is fantastic, and is set to become even better with the future updates the team are working on. I'm a huge Witcher fan as well, from the books to the games. Because of this, it is SO amazing to see all these characters become their own, interesting cards. I can't wait to see even more of them become them as well, from Rience to Codringher and Fenn.
I don't normally play card games, but this is an exception.
* It has amazing still and animated art
* Great 2d/3d graphics for the play area and leaders
* A fun game to play! many ways to play and build your decks!
* It's free! and you don't really have to pay for anything, but that is an option too if you want ornaments/trinkets.
It has everything and more that I want from a card game, Hearthstone looks bad in comparison.
And it's based on the Witcher universe!!
There are currently some bugs, that aren't really that big and probably can be fixed.
But nothing game breaking.
It's definitely getting better, and it's adapting to more of a middle ground between beta gwent and current gwent - even if just a little bit. It's still very skill based and incredibly generous, one of the best card games out there. Very nice graphics & gameplay, however it lacks a bit of polish.

And when the fight was over We spent what they had made. But in the bottom of our hearts We felt the final cut.
The game is fun and addicting, and in contrast to many other card games it rewards skillful play and game knowledge. There is very little luck involved in this game, which is something I enjoy alot about it.
The main flaw of the game is how anti beginner friendly it is. The matchmaking for new players is horrible, and the starter decks are really bad. This makes it very difficult to get into the game. However, once your collection of cards starts growing this game becomes one of the most consumer friendly games out there. The amount of free stuff you get is insane (probably half of my collection I got only through playing), and the "reward system" in this game is pretty cool. You unlock points through playing matches and completing achievements that you then spend on different rewards.
Overall the game is great once you get into it, but it requires either a lot of patience or a bit of money to get there. The game is super consumer friendly, the developers are some of the least greedy out there (just handing out rewards constantly). The game recieves updates on a monthly basis, which, although not perfect, keeps the game quite fresh. I recommend everyone that enjoys card games to try Gwent out, and not give up on it immedietly.
