FREE TO PLAY THAT’S WORTH YOUR TIME
A fair and fun progression system turns the effort of building a competitive collection of cards into pure pleasure — simply collect new cards to build decks with as you play GWENT; no strings attached.
STUNNING, ALL ACROSS THE BOARD
Beautiful, hand-drawn art and mesmerizing visual effects breathe life into every card, battle and battlefield, making GWENT fun to play and every duel a joy to watch.
SKILL BEATS LUCK
Crush the enemy with brute strength or outsmart them with clever tricks — no matter your deck, GWENT’s unique round-based gameplay opens up a world of strategic possibilities to play with when fighting for victory.
MORE THAN ONE WAY TO PLAY
Whether it’s a quick online game against a friend, a highly competitive PvP challenge, or something new and wildly adventurous like the Arena, GWENT’s selection of game modes has got you covered.
EASILY SATISFYING, ANYTHING BUT EASY
Sling cards from your deck across two tactically distinct rows — melee and ranged. Gather more points in the duel against your opponent to win a round. Win two out of three rounds to win the battle. It won’t be easy, but no one said it should be.
NO HOLDING BACK, NO HOLDING HANDS
You start with 10 cards from your deck in hand, able to play each card right from the start. It’s up to you to open the game with your strongest unit, or save the best for later in the fight. How will your deck look and what will your strategy be?
The game requires an online connection to play and offers optional in-game purchases.
Okay so I always thought that I hate card games. I never enjoyed playing cards in real life or in video games. That changed when I played The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. I fell in love with Gwent in TW3 and I eagerly completed every Gwent quest. GWENT: The Witcher Card Game keeps maintains the essence of what made the original Gwent so enjoyable. The game is different in this version but the changes were very appropriate to make the game more suited to competitive play. The visuals and sound effects are next to none and really help to cement the amount of polish that CDPR have put into this game.
A balanced, engaging collectible card game with original rules, and beautiful art. To be good at it you need analysis and skill, although the game has some randomness.
Free to play mode is excellent. It is quite easy to unlock cards you need, you get a lot of rewards in the beginning, and there are diminishing returns of expensive cards. So even budget decks are very fun and display many different archetypes.
Art and lore are very good. There are some quality memes in the game :) Fans of the Witcher series will definitely love it.
TL;DR An excellent game — better that I've expected.
Overall very good game. Addictive and rewarding. Lot of ppl complains on changes, but it's in our nature. We don't like changes and gwent went through a lot of them.
Typically i'm free to play player (and you can be very easily f2p here) but i want to express my gratitude for devs and i'm buying expensions pre-purchase packs. Cheers for making this unique and great game!
I started playing in early 2019, was instantly hooked and and the game has only gotten better since. It is extremely generous, which means it is totally possible as a free to play game, and really well-rounded and balanced now (late 2019).
While a bit confusing at first (since there are quite a few card mechanisms), it is well worth getting into and the learning curve is steep. RNG is pretty minimal and mulligans mean that you often get most of the cards you want. All of this means you can usually pinpoint where you lost a game or outplayed your opponent. Highly recommended!
really it's a very very nice game with amazing visuals, a very well balnced economy and many many more good stuff
but it's has a very very strong internet requirments, like if you have medium or less internet speed it won't even let you log in the game,
i have played many other online card games throughout years on pc and mobile
and all of them work just fine but this game is such demanding game for high speed internet
i mean for god sake it's just a card game not fast and reflex based game
very disappointed
