Definitive ARPG
I ll be short (or, atleast, try to) - this game is basically a compilation of all best things, you can find in this genre (and its friends): - Skill system from titan quest. Mix ANY 2 classes (1st require lvl1 and second - lvl10) to create various builds to play with - I wont say "character for every type of player", but its pretty damn close. - HUGE open world to explore. Well, sort of - caves and other dungeons are separate locations. But, aside from that - what you may call "fields" have no loading screens or anything - just one giant world. And its not just wild wasteland - no, they actually put an effort to recreate a post-apocalyptic world. Kinda reminds me of what stalker series tried to achieve, but... well, if you played stalker series - you know what I mean. - Lots of secrets for additional replayability. Lost NPCs, who will help you or, well, make troubles. Different dialogue choices (not like in some visual novels, but still) with different results. Hidden locations here and there - some of them require additional work to find/unlock. - Dozen of things to grind for. Nobody force you, but if you are fan of such things - its all there. Complex crafting reciepes, materials, loot. Kinda reminds me of MMORPGs - in a good way. - Fractions. Not as complex, as in soldak games - closer to souls franchise - but still reliable. Almost every NPC or enemy belong to some fraction. Do quests and help - and your relationships will increase to provide access to various goodies. Fight and destroy - and they will kill you on sight. This game is trully an ARPG masterpiece - as person, who joined genre with titan quest on its release and stayed fan all this time, I can say that I never played anything like this before. Its charming, atmospheric and complex. It has everything, proper ARPG game needs, and even more. Damn, at this point, I ll just take one star off for goddamn statically linked galaxy.dll in game's installation. And call this game a masterpiece of its genre
