Description
Enter an apocalyptic fantasy world where humanity is on the brink of extinction, iron is valued above gold and trust is hard earned. This ARPG features complex character development, hundreds of unique items, crafting and quests with choice & consequence.
  • Dual Class - Combine any of six distinct classes with over 25 skills and modifiers per class. Base classes include Soldier, Demolitionist, Occultist, Nightblade, Arcanist and Shaman.
  • Hundreds of Item Skills - Augment your class build with a diverse array of over 250 unique skills granted by items and equipment add-ons.
  • Collect hundreds of Items - Common, magical, rare, epic and legendary classes of loot. Plus over 20,000 possible magical affix combinations and over 200 rare affixes.
  • Quests with Choice and Consequence - You will face tough decisions that leave significant impacts upon the world. Strangers on the road, desperate families and even entire villages may live or perish based on your actions. Currently over 35 quests with 75+ lore notes to be collected.
  • Friendly and Enemy Factions - Earn favor with human factions to unlock additional quest lines, vendor discounts and special faction-based items and augments. Some neutral factions can be turned into allies but aiding one will make the enemy of another. Hostile factions will remember your deeds and deepen their hatred of you, sending out large packs and elite heroes to hunt you down.
  • Devotion, an additional layer of skill customization allows you to acquire bonuses and powerful secondary effects for your class skills. These are unlocked from a giant constellation map with points acquired by finding and restoring destroyed or corrupted shrines hidden throughout the world.
  • Rebuild the World - Help human enclaves survive and flourish by securing vital necessities, rebuilding structures and rescuing survivors who can then lend their services to your cause.
  • 4 Person Multiplayer - Connect with Friends or make new allies in glorious multiplayer. Multiplayer encounters will put your teamwork to the ultimate challenge.
  • Fast-paced Visceral Combat - Enemy blood spatters, ragdoll physics and satisfying enemy death effects. Smash in doors and fight house to house, leaving a path of demolished furniture in your wake.
  • Rotatable Camera - If you choose to survey the full beauty of the world and always fight from the most optimal angle. Levels are still designed so that players are not forced to rotate the camera; it is purely optional.
  • Secrets and Perils Abound - 200+ Enemy heroes and bosses, hand-configured with their own unique arrays of deadly skills. 20+ secret areas hidden behind crumbling walls, hidden gaps and mysterious locked doors. Explode obstacles or repair structures to open new paths.
  • Rogue-Like Dungeons - Descend into special locked challenge dungeons that require a rare crafted key, where enemy levels increase as you progress and player teleport is disabled. There is no way out except to complete the dungeon or die trying.
  • Dynamic Weather - The world is brought to life with region-specific climates and a variety of weather effects. A sunny day can cloud over with mild rain showers that builds into a booming thunderstorm. Variable wind gusts blow grass and affect objects like windmills.
  • Recipe Based Crafting - Collect over 250 crafting recipes that allow you to combine salvaged components into unique crafted items and then, later, use those basic crafted items with higher-tiered recipes to complete items of amazing power.
  • Reclaim Skill Points - The ability to pay to reclaim points alleviates the fear and frustration of having to make early, uninformed skill choices that could permanently gimp a character.

No Linux

Well, I saw the game running, it's pretty interesting and nice. But there is no Linux version, so I'll never buy it. I will never buy again a game that is not playable with other choices than the big corps that are Microsoft and Apple. Make games that are playable with any OS, respect consumers or consumers will bash your reputation one day or another.

Unstable and disappointing

Game has potential as a Diablo replacement. Atmosphere is good, even if tutorial and beginning is abysmal. Class with skills/masteries and devotions shows good potential and flexibility. Even if they are so large as to make planning pointless for the first few play throughs till you master it. The worst: it's redistributables are corrupt beyond belief. After installing this, my computer is astoundingly unstable. What used to launch, is a crap shoot now. Computer stability has gone from unlimited to less than 24 hours, often less than 12 before requiring possibly multiple reboots. The game will run stably for a few hours. After enough reboots and relaunches. Generally, it takes me 15-30 minutes to get to run. Still bad: the graphics are terribly disappointing. Not bad, my high end 5 year old laptop has been about maxed out here. But performance running these graphics is unstable and stutters incredibly. My brand new desktop with Nvidia 980, 6 core 4ghz cpu, and 32gb ddr4 machine runs and looks worse and constantly stutters on generally high graphics, when no other game on ultra has even caused it to flinch. visuals are about Borderlands 2 level, and very disappointing for what I was expecting to be a decent 2016 level game. To contrast, Metro Redux (the original) puts this to shame in every conceivable way. Runs faster, looks better, less taxing. Again, it seems to have potential for those who are desperate for another Diablo clone, even with the ability to surpass most eventually. But as of today, it plays and feels like an EARLY BETA.

NO WASD Controls

I have to give this a very low grade. Because in an attempt to introduce a new way of controls, it has become painful on my left hand trying to control movement using the mouse pointer only. I feel trapped by the limitation of how I can control the main character. its hard to think when I simply want to move the character and when I want to attack. I find this new concept frustrating.

Buy WOLCEN Instead!

BUY WOLCEN INSTEAD! Wolcen is everything you are looking for and more trust me. Cons: -Grim Dawn is a much worse version of (awesome) Titan Quest with rusty weapons, old stinky-looking distressed leather stuff, (bleh) rotted wood and metal weapons and shields, and rusty armor, Your character looks like he stinks and is dirty. -The graphics are bad and blah. -The textures are bad. Like 2001 bad. Your character looks flat and 2d. -You cannot zoom in far enough. -The world is dreary and a real bummer with lots of rotting, ichor, stinky-type creatures and SO MUCH GREEN GLOWING ICHOR! Two thumbs down. The creatures and enemies are uninspired copy and paste cliche characters from any Solomon Kane type movie or tv show you have ever seem. - -This game seems like the product of somebody drank too much samuel adams and watched the Solomon Kane and The Patriot movies WAY too many times. The Van Helsing and Vran series did a way better job with the genre. -The running animation is really bad. -The fonts they use are bad and makes the game seem so dated. -The maps are time-sink designed mazes and navigating them is really frustrating with so many walls and doors and underground tunnels and boulders and fallen trees etc. The world is LITERALLY in shambles. Pros: -The skills and constellation systems are pretty good.

Not Worth The Price. Buy the Bootleg

Developers have to get it thru their white privilege heads that the games they want us to buy should be made for us not them, not their parents, not their mates. Making a game just hard, to make it hard makes the game not fun to play and a giant waste of time and money. The movement of the game is bad. Bad guys in the game can shot thru everything at you, houses, walls, other bad guys, but you can not. You kill a bad guy and when it dies it blows up and kills you. Making you die over and over and over again. So it, 20 seconds of game play and 1 minute to get back in the game and another 5 to 20 mins to get back where you were. You are always getting stuck in some part of the game unable to move moreover when in combat, causing you to die. The game makes you waste time over and over again by telling you to go somewhere but to get there you have to walk around like 30 mins to a freak in hour to get there due to the fastest path there being blocked. It just makes the game not fun and it sucks. Useless weapons, nothing you find goes with your character, so even framing is a giant waste of time. There are no instructions to the game, use you don’t know what to do, when to do it, or where to go. There is no support for the game, so you waste hours online trying to find out how to play the game. The developers think is cool to force player to waste time to buy an item to sell an item to speak to someone, it makes the game not fun and again a waste of time. I cannot recommend this game for the price. I would say the game is worth it only if you get it for free or you buy the bootleg copy of the game. At my school the whole,. All parts of the game is selling for5 bucks. I would say do that, buy the bootleg version from someone at school. And this goes for all other games that waste our time don’t support developers that waste our time. This is what this game is a giant waste of time, that doesn’t even come with instructions or how to videos.
