GreedFall – Gold Edition

Yeah.. nice visuals. Some interesting equipment. Option to change character type, during the game.. It has good companion quests. Nice companion interactions. But, the bottom line is, this game is boring. It's mainly go find this or that... talk to him or her... take the item or message back and.... go do it again. Battles ok... If you like to get OP'd by grinding, you can, just sleep at a campfire. Lots of different places to go.. but, all very similar. As in, seen one, seen them all. And, even with fast travel... you're gonna spend a lot of time, walking around. I'm about 3/4 way through and I'm gonna quit. Just nothing stimulating or exciting about this game... At 1st it's "new".... as you get a handle on things.. But, once you leave the prison island, it's just same old, same old. Nothing at all to keep me wanting to go back, for just a bit more. I just don't care what the next mission might be, since it's nothing new. Happily I got it on deep sale... Possibly if they make a Greedfall 2, and pay attention to the negative reviews/comments.... they can make a game that makes you want to go back for more. This game, isn't it... And the fast travel... oh my.... leaves a LOT to be desired. This game is better than nothing... but, keep looking if you want twists... interesting situations... good loot, and lots of.... un boring stuff... I'm not new to RPG's ... Been playing them for over 30 years... I've seen quite a few.. come and go... This Greedfall will quickly be forgotten. Maybe #2 will be better??? But, if this game is any indication... they need to utilize a LOT more imagination. Once you've finished it... doubtful you play again... absolutely no reason to go back for more....and you will forget Greedfall... probably before you shut your computer down.

Not a AAA game, but has amazing spirit in it. Despite the flaws (so much running to and fro and backtracking, many cliche elements, uninspired combat) there is enough exceptional content with spirit to make this a memorable and enjoyable game (great voice acting, some very interesting side stories and well-developed characters, beautiful scenery and lighting). Strongly recommended!

The game was "pretty" enough; but after sinking a good chunk of time into it, it was way more frustrating than enjoyable... I really don't know how it got the great "reviews", because this game becomes frustrating and boring fairly quickly...

Played this on PS4 and I was thoroughly disappointed. It may just be because I wnated different things from the Game than it tried to offer, but the whole world felt bland to me. The Decisions are basically meaningless in the wider story and the ending is just not well written. All Cities basically look the same and a lot of buildings are just copy and paste. Overall I would not recommend.

In a world where graphics fidelity, fps, polished seems to be the main focus, it is refreshing to play a game that rather tells a good story. I did like the graphics in this game, and it wasn't like teen cartoon in a 18 years rated game like some other games of late.
